We are pleased to support such a stimulating and prestigious event. The show includes artists from Maui, Oahu, Kauai, Big Island, Lanai and ten from the mainland. This newly-formed contemporary group focuses on recording the life and landscape of Hawaii and we’ll be hosting their exhibition annually. Being invited to participate is a sought-after honor and surely over the years will become a great addition to art events on Maui. We are proud to boast that five of our fine artists have been invited. With George Allan, Betty Hay Freeland, Pamela Andelin, Macario Pascual and Carleton Kinkade included, this great event will be even more exciting. continued on page 5 Spotlight on New Work JOE FLETCHER WEST MAUI 24” X 36” OIL $3,800 Changing media is quite a challenge for most artists but Joe Fletcher has handled moving to oils on-location from watercolor with ease. We move to the music as his colorful dancers glide across the canvas. His charming depictions of family get-togethers bring you close to the real Hawaiian Aloha. Deybra will add her special touch with new works for the season. Her whimsical and yet sophisticated acrylics of animals and people are always admired. His subtle natural colors bring his on-location oils to life as if you are right there. Although Uri is living on Kauai, we have coaxed him to spend time capturing some of Maui’s great views. Caleb O’Connor has also returned recently from his yearly one-man show in Chicago. His reputation and client list is growing and we are proud to present a new body of work that focuses on his life on Maui. A master draftsman, Caleb is concerned about accurate representation. His palette mirrors the beauty of nature. Please come to our reception honoring these two accomplished young artists.
