his 950-acre campground is nestled in the
foothills of the Sierra Nevada on the fringe
of the Sacramento Valley. Our private, 120acre lake offers great fishing, swimming and
boating. Your whole family will enjoy taking a
trip on one of our patio boats. Try your luck at

in our pool or enjoy a game of tennis.

urrounded by the rolling hills of the Santa
Cruz Mountains in the southern end of the
Silicon Valley (Santa Clara County), this 66acre preserve is the perfect home base for touring many of the popular attractions and destinations of California’s central coast. More than
20 wineries and vineyards inhabit the local area,
and there is a train depot just six miles from the
preserve. Uvas Creek flows through the campground, offering scenic views. If you enjoy
swimming, our Olympic-size pool is perfect on a
sunny California day. The miniature golf course
is another favorite activity at the preserve.

ocated in the Cuyamaca Mountains at an
elevation of 4,000 feet, this 140-acre preserve is covered with oak trees and manzanita shrubbery. You can hike along the preserve’s self-guided trail to an ancient Indian
archaeological site. Lake Cuyamaca, north of
the preserve, offers excellent fishing. The gold
mining town of Julian is nearby. Drive to San
Diego to tour one of America’s best zoos, plus
take in the aquatic attractions of Sea World.

miles east to Hwy. 79. Go north on Hwy. 79 for
three miles, making a left turn toward Julian
(Lake Cuyamaca). Drive three more miles to the
preserve. We don’t recommend Hwy. 79 from
the north, because it’s very steep, narrow and
winding.
Driving Warning: The preserve entry from
the south (I-8) is a very sharp right turn on a
limited-visibility curve. Longer rigs, rigs with
tow vehicles, or rigs limited turning radius
should proceed north past the preserve for 2.2
miles to the large parking lot on the right (east
side of Hwy. 79) to turn around and head
straight into the preserve from the north.

the perfect winter vacation destination. A
golfer’s paradise, the Palm
Springs area has
numerous wellgroomed courses and has
become one of
the most popular destinations in the world for this
activity. The White Water trout farm and Lake
Cahuilla are just a short distance away for those
interested in fishing. No matter what you enjoy,
there is something for you in the desert community! Beautiful natural attractions such as Joshua
Tree National Park, Thousand Palms Oasis, Indian
Canyon, the Living Desert Wildlife and Botanical
Preserve, as well as the Santa Rosa/San Jacinto
National Monuments await. Take in breathtaking
views of the mountains and the Coachella Valley
from the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway as it lifts
you up 8,000 feet to the peak of Mt. San Jacinto!
The preserve is designated high-use from
December through March. Please make your reservations as early as possible during these times.

Placerville and Auburn, this preserve is a
classic! Imagine the South Fork American
River running through your front yard and the
golden color of the Sierra foothills reflecting off
your sunglasses. In addition to a swimming
beach, there are several places along the river
for rafters and kayakers to launch their watercraft. A sparkling swimming pool and a clubhouse (complete with recreation hall) are great
places for families to gather, and a general
store and cafe provide comfort and convenience
to campers. This preserve is extremely popular,
so we encourage you to book today!

not recommended for RVers, because Hwy.
49 has several sharp curves and hills to
manage. And, it is difficult for RVs to make
the turn into the resort safely because
there is no turn lane, traffic does not yield,
and you have to swing wide to negotiate

Santa Ynez River, Rancho Oso features acres of
beautiful scenery and endless opportunities for
horseback riding, hiking, and seasonal fishing. Our
dude ranch has cattle grazing in the fields and horses
that are gentle enough for beginners. A unique cobblestone lodge with a huge fireplace brings the flavor
or this western preserve alive. Come stay in a cabin
resembling an Old West building or a covered wagon
sitting underneath the stars. Spend the day relaxing at
our pool and spa, take a short drive to the tourist
mecca of Santa Barbara on the Pacific Coast, or head
over to the unique town of Solvang.

From San Luis Obispo, Santa Maria and
points north on Hwy. 101: Take Hwy. 101 south
to the Los Olivos/Hwy. 154 turnoff. Stay on Hwy.
154 to Paradise Rd., approximately 24 miles. Turn
left onto Paradise Rd. (Look for the Santa Ynez
Recreation Area sign just before the turn onto
Paradise Road, about one mile past the golf
course.) Travel 5.5 miles to the resort entrance.
Please exercise caution on the narrow entry road.
From Buellton, Solvang and Santa Ynez: Take
Hwy. 246 east to Hwy. 154. Turn left toward Santa
Barbara and travel approximately 15 miles to
Paradise Rd. (Look for the Santa Ynez Recreation
Area sign just before the turn onto Paradise Rd.,

14 miles south of Hollister, California. The
climate is tempered by the ocean, which is
only 50 miles to the west, and wildlife is abundant throughout the area. Our modern facilities
include full-hookup campsites, two swimming
pools, nature trails, a store and food service.
There are many natural attractions and activities
in the area, such as the Pinnacles National
Monument, fresh- and saltwater fishing, and
golf courses.

his 80-acre retreat is fun for all ages. All of the
sites have water, electric and sewer. Wilderness
Lakes is known for its fishing and family atmosphere. Stocked canals weave throughout the preserve. You can catch catfish right from your campsite,
feed the numerous ducks, or play a round of miniature golf. Within 10 miles of the preserve there are
five challenging golf courses. Many Southern
California attractions are within a 90-minute drive,
including the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Knott’s Berry
Farm, Palm Springs Aerial Tramway and Disneyland.

Yosemite National Park, this 400-acre preserve is a wonderland of activity during the
summer. The South Fork of the Tuolumne River
runs through the preserve and is ideal for swimming, fishing and panning for gold. Lake Don
Pedro, 35 miles west, offers fishing, boating and
water skiing. Another area attraction is the
state’s largest public cavern, Moaning Cavern.
