Hurstpierpoint is pleasantly situated just off the A23 London to Brighton Road. It extends from the South Downs to the Weald and is renowned for its beautiful rural setting. Many of the houses in the village date from the 18th century or even earlier and as a result, the centre of the village and surrounding area is designated as a Conservation Area. The village boasts friendly shops, restaurants, pubs and tearooms. It has a flourishing community life with its Village Centre, Library, School and Health Centre. Locally there is a Co-Operative and Budgens Supermarket with larger brands found just a short drive away in Burgess Hill and Haywards Heath. There are several schools in the area. One mile from the village is Hurstpierpoint College founded in the last century and with one of the most beautiful chapels in Sussex. The college spans all school ages, from preschool to sixth form.
