A Message From Your Community
Director
Just a reminder to all residents that Governor
Jerry Brown has requested that we cut water use
by 25% this year. In an effort to meet this goal,
please let the Tierrasanta Ridge management know if you have
a toilet running or a
dripping faucet and
we’ll get it repaired
right away! Let’s do all
we can to conserve!
Christopher Ramirez
Maintenance Tip
As the weather is warming
up, snakes in Tierrasanta
may make their way from
the neighboring canyons
onto our property. Be cautious as you walk through
the community, should
you come across a snake,
it’s best to simply just walk
away.

CINCO DE MAYO is a Mexican holiday that celebrates the
Battle of Puebla, which took place on May 5, 1862. In 1861, France sent a humongous
army to invade Mexico in an effort to collect some war debts. The French army was
larger, more prepared and more equipped than the Mexicans struggling to defend
the road to their city.
The war eventually arrived at Puebla. Against all odds, the Mexicans made a valiant
stand and won a huge victory. It was short-lived, as the French army regrouped and
continued to take on Mexico City…. but the euphoria of an unlikely victory against
overwhelming odds is remembered every May 5th.

It should not be confused with Mexico’s Independence day, which actually takes place in September.

After letting Ryan Matthews
go in free agency, the San
Diego Chargers selected
Melvin Gordon (running back,
Wisconsin) as their first
round pick. They were able
to accomplish this by trading up from the 17th to the
Davis Newton
15th pick with San Francisco.
Gordon is not known for his elite speed but
scouts dub him as a strong runner and solid
prospect. Last season at Wisconsin, Gordon
became the second all-time single season
rusher

in 1988).
