welcome to Radson
A family firm founded in 1966, Radson has today become one
of Europe’s premier radiator manufacturers. Since 1990, the
Zonhoven company has been part of the Rettig ICC Group, a
Finnish multinational, and now has subsidiaries in France and
Poland. Every day, the Belgian production unit makes around 7000
to 10000 radiators.
Radson has acquired an international reputation by developing
the revolutionary ‘2 in 1’ principle : two convection fins on each hot
water channel. This innovative welding technique, combined with
the special design of the interior panel of the radiator, provides a
high heat output and fast adjustment.
Today, Radson continues to invest in quality and innovation while
taking account of the environment. As the radiator specialist
proves every day, cleaning up water and air, low noise levels and
heat recovery can go along perfectly well with profitability. The
many environmental certificates that Radson has received bear
witness to this.
Besides producing quality products, Radson endeavours to supply
a complete service. This takes the form, above all, of an extensive
range of panel, bathroom and decorative radiators. Furthermore,
the manufacturer has the confidence always to give an ‘all - in’
warranty – 10 years on its radiators. Finally, a stock of no less than
125000 radiators guarantees a wide range of choices and rapid
delivery.

growing in harmony with the
environment
Our production unit in Zonhoven borders on the pond studded natural beauty of MiddenLimburg (2500 ha). Radson wishes to grow alongside this nature conservation area and
in harmony with it.
The industrial sites extend over approximately 75000m2, of which 40000m2 are builtup. Radson has a buffer zone of a little over 10 ha between its industrial sites and the
conservation area.
Over the last 7 years we have invested a little over 50 million euros in expansion applying
the BAT principle and paying heed to the environment.
Our environmental investments have amounted to around 6,8 million euros.
In each of its processes, Radson is looking toward lower consumption of raw materials,
energy and water, and a reduction in sound level and water and air emissions. End 2003
Radson became the ISO 14001 environmental certification.
quality and standards
Since our beginnings, we at Radson have made quality a priority. All Radson’s production
is covered by ISO 9001 certification awarded by the TÜV.
However, Radson’s quality and heat output have also been tested and acknowledged by
institutes.
Radson radiators are guaranteed for a period of 10 years for installations from the 1st of
january 2007 on.

production & coating process
Panel radiators are produced on 4 fully automated, ultra-modern lines. They may be
inspected at any time during the production process. The water tightness of each radiator
is individually tested at the end of the production line.
Radiators are coated in a modern facility specially designed to protect the environment.
pre-treatment
Pre-treatment of radiators consists of degreasing (removal of oil and fat) and phosphating.
In combination with the base coat, the phosphate layer provides excellent rust protection.
After pre-treatment, the radiators are rinsed with deionised water.
coating
This process consists of 2 main stages. First, the radiators are immersed in a 2nd generation
KTL bath to cover them with a layer of anti-rust base by means of cataphoresis. They are
then dried in hot air at a temperature of around 175 °C. The final coat is then applied.
This powder coat of epoxy-polyester is applied to the radiators by electrophoresis. The
powder coating is then heated at a temperature of almost 185 °C. Outstandingly hard
and stable, the finishing coat is resistant to scratches, moisture and acids and complies
with the DIN 55900 and EN 442 standards.

• All Radson panel radiators are produced with a cold rolled, high quality steel plate
according to EN 10130 and EN 10131.
Integra

• Certain models have vertical profiles of 50 mm. Other are provided with a flat front.

An innovative welding technique in combination with the specific shape of the radiator
inner panel makes the Radson radiator unique.
Radson indeed welds 2 convection fins on each hot water channel (2-on-1 principle).
This technique allows Radson to use smaller heating elements.

Heat outputs were measured according to the EN 442 standard, with a water temperature
of 75/65 °C and a room temperature of 20 °C (delta ∆T=50).

The radiators are protected on 4 sides with cardboard, including corner edge protections.
The radiators are shrink-wrapped.
The radiator remain inside the packaging until installation, to prevent any damage.
The entire packaging is recyclable.

Integra
Pure aesthetics : the connecting pipe is concealed behind the panelling. This means the
supply and return pipes can be hidden in the wall. Fine side and top cover finishing gives
a restrained appearance without visible pipes.
• Accessories included in the packaging and the price :
1 drainage blind stop, 2 or 3 Radsoclic brackets
(in function of the length of the radiator), screws and plugs.
• The pipe system for the supply of hot water is integrated on the right side (left on
demand) and the Kv-adjustable thermostatic valve body is already integrated as well
as a rotating airvent, 2 blind stops and the welded-on hanging strips.
• Connections : 6 x Ø 1/2“ (15/21).
• Colours : standard colour is RAL 9016.

The Vertical is ideal for fitting where there is little space on the wall that you want or can
use. The front panel is profiled.
• Accessories included in the packaging and the price : brackets, 2 side covers (exc. type 10C),
installation clips, 1 bore template, 1 rotating airvent, 3 blind stops, screws and plugs.
• Installation : U2V-bracket.
• Connections : 6 x Ø 1/2”. (Note : with type 22 the connecting valve is located eccentrically
in the radiator.)
• If one does not connect the radiator using the connecting valve, short-circuit current
can originate so the radiator heats less.
• A vertical radiator can be used in 2-pipe systems and in 1-pipe systems, when the valve
set is used.
• Radiator is reversible top / bottom. Note : with top connection one must turn the
radiator around and a minimum water column head of 3 m is required for the radiator
supply, and this with a minimum flow rate of 150 l/h.
• Colours : standard colour is RAL 9016. Other available colours : see p. 110.

Delta Laserline standard range
Fully laser-welded, steel column radiators. Pipe sections and end pieces are welded
by laser to columns and blocks. Pipes are smoothed on the outside to obtain the
characteristics Delta “D-tubular section”. This results in higher heat outputs. Laser
welding results in barely visible welded joints.
• Accessories included in the packaging and the price : brackets, 1 airvent, 1 blind stop,
screws and plugs.
• Installation : a kit of 4 or 6 radiator brackets and ajustable wall brackets.
• Connections : 4 x Ø 1/2” (15/21) female thread to the 4 ends for heights 400, 500, 600,
750 and 900 mm. For the heights 1800 and 2000 mm : 2 x Ø 1/2” (mid connection).
• Colour standard range : RAL 9016. Other available colours : see page 110. Add at the
order code /.... and complete the RAL-colour. Ex. S1-2040/10/3003 for a radiator
in RAL 3003.

Optimo
product description
The Optimo offers you the opportunity of optimal heating in both new and renovated
buildings. The three type 500, 600 and 800 hot-water models are easily built into kitchen
cupboard skirting, stairs, etc.
The Optimo is connected to the existing central heating system (two-pipes). Cool air is
drawn in by the ventilator. The cool air is heated by the heat exchanger. The heated air is
in turn spread around the room by the ventilator.
The ventilator has two speeds, for normal and fast heating. The ventilator operates when
the water temperature 43 °C is or higher.
Once built in the heating unit is covered with an attractive grill.
The Optimo is provided with a 2 m electric cable with cast plug for the working of the
ventilator. The plug socket must be earthed.
Flexible connection hoses with sealing taps are also supplied (± 75 cm).

General conditions of sale and delivery
Unless otherwise confirmed by us in writing, the conditions stated below shall apply to every sale or delivery, even if they
deviate from the buyer’s general conditions of purchase. Through his order the buyer accepts these conditions irrevocably.
1. Orders, conditions of delivery and any other provisions or descriptions apply only if the RETTIG BELGIUM NV has explicitly
accepted them in writing. If the RETTIG BELGIUM NV when making an offer has stipulated a period for the acceptance
thereof, the agreement will be deemed to have been concluded when the buyer has, prior to the expiry of this period,
sent a notice in writing that he accepts the offer, on the understanding that an agreement has been concluded when
this notice has not come in within one week after the expiry of this period. Price lists, catalogues and models are made
available only by way of documentation; they can never bind us and may be changed by us without any prior notice. The
models and catalogues remain the property of the RETTIG BELGIUM NV. The RETTIG BELGIUM NV will be bound only by
obligations indicated by its agents, representatives and non-manual workers if it has confirmed these.
2. Change in or cancellation of the order. These will not be considered anymore if the manufacture of the ordered material
has already begun.
3. Delivery. Our delivery dates stated in the order confirmations indicate when the goods will presumably leave our firm. They
are given by way of information only and are adhered to as closely as possible. Late delivery, if any, must not give rise to
cancellation of the sale or refusal of the order and can in no way oblige the RETTIG BELGIUM NV to damages.
4. The sale is deemed to have taken place in Zonhoven at our firm. The goods are transported at the risk and responsibility
of the buyer, in the event of delivery carriage paid. When the RETTIG BELGIUM NV undertakes the transport of the goods,
delivery will take place at the entrance to the construction sites. The moving of the goods by the personnel of the RETTIG
BELGIUM NV, in the workshops or at the site of the buyer, or the lifting thereof to higher floors will take place fully at the
risk and the responsibility of the buyer. Any complaint must be reported to the carrier upon the delivery and must be
confirmed by registered letter to the RETTIG BELGIUM NV within 48 hours. No complaint whatsoever shall entitle the
buyer to delay the payment or to reduce the amount thereof.
5. Cases of force majeure, including damage to the furnishings and fittings, accidents to persons, strike, war, negligence of
the suppliers, lack of or delay in the transport, etc., due to which the delivery is obstructed or delayed, discharge the RETTIG
BELGIUM NV of any responsibility and entitle it to renounce its obligations fully or partially without the buyer being able
to claim any damages.
6. Transport. All our prices have been calculated for purchase at the factory warehouses. If a special packaging (crate) is
explicitly desired, this packaging will be charged. This special packaging will be taken back if an agreement about this is
concluded in advance.
7. Retention of title. The goods will remain the property of the seller until the buyer has paid the due purchase price, increased
by all costs, charges and compensations, such as are included in the general and/or special conditions which govern the
sale, resulting from late payment; even if the goods have been processed. Once the goods have been delivered, the buyer
will bear all risks of loss and destruction. For Belgium we refer to article 491 of the Penal Code, of which the text reads as
follows : Article 491 : “Anyone who, to the disadvantage of someone else, fraudulently mis-appropriates or wastes goods,
monies, merchandise, bills, documents of any nature whatsoever which imply or give rise to an obligation or a discharge
of debt and which have been handed over to him under the obligation to return them or to use or apply them for a specific
purpose, will be punished with imprisonment of one month to five years and with a pecuniary penalty of € 0,65 to € 12,50.
In addition, the culprit can be sentenced to deprivation of rights pursuant to article 33.”

8. Payment. The RETTIG BELGIUM NV reserves its right to demand a security from the buyer to fulfil his obligations, even after
partial delivery of the goods. If the buyer refuses to give the requested security, the RETTIG BELGIUM NV will be entitled
to suspend the execution of the order or its balance. The invoices of the RETTIG BELGIUM NV are payable at Zonhoven and
must be paid cash on delivery, unless otherwise agreed. Any discount or other costs shall be borne by the buyer. In the
event of late payments the RETTIG BELGIUM NV is entitled to charge interest on overdue payments, calculated on the basis
of the rate of discount of the National Bank of Belgium, for non-accepted trade securities, increased by 1 %; after registered
notice of default the invoice amount will additionally be increased by 20 % on account of compensation. In the event
the buyer does not satisfy the agreed payment conditions, the RETTIG BELGIUM NV will be entitled to postpone further
deliveries and to cancel current deliveries without notification. The non-payment on its due date of one single invoice will
render the due balance of all the other invoices, even if not yet due, immediately due and payable by operation of law.
When the buyer fails to fulfil his obligations, the sale will be dissolved by operation of law and without notice of default.
The seller’s declaration by registered letter of his intention to do this will suffice for this.
9. Taking back and/or cancellation of radiators is possible only after mutual agreement and only for radiators featuring on
the latest valid stock list. The percentage of the compensation will be determined by our departments in consultation with
the customer.
10.Goods returned. In addition to the conditions in case of cancellations the following conditions must be satisfied :
- all goods returned must be provided with a label stating name and address of the customer to whom they have
been invoiced by us.
- in addition, the shipment must take place carriage paid. Collection by the carrier of the RETTIG BELGIUM NV can be
charged.
- only after an investigation will compensation, if any, be paid by us.
11.Postponed delivery. If the delivery of ordered materials is postponed by the buyer or placed on call, the RETTIG BELGIUM
NV will reserve the right, after expiry of three months, either to demand immediate payment of the purchase price, or to
cancel the contract of sale, or to charge the materials at the price valid on the day of delivery, one or two things without
any reminder being required and without prejudice to the right to sue the buyer for damage or interest.
12.Guarantee. For installations starting from 1st of january, our radiators are guaranteed for a period of 10 years against all
manufacturing defects when they are used in normal conditions and for a heating system with hot water. This guarantee
does not apply to defects caused by installation errors or factors external to the radiators (water quality, oxygen-permeable
pipes, ...). In the event of raw material defects or manufacture defects recognised by the RETTIG BELGIUM NV, the buyer will
be entitled only to demand repair or replacement of the defective parts. It is explicitly agreed that the RETTIG BELGIUM NV
is not obliged to any damages, either for personal accidents or for damage to other goods or for loss of profit.
13.Competent court. In case of disputes, the Courts of Hasselt - Belgium or the Courts of the domicile of the buyer, at the
option of the seller, shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
The prices mentioned in € are valid from May 1st, 2008 and are excluding VAT.
