Hello all, Fwoosh! Kapow! Boom! It may not quite be the Fourth of July yet, but I think our recently concluded coin show deserves a celebration of its own. Final numbers are still being crunched, but we know we sold out the bourse floor, and preliminary numbers on raffle ticket sales are looking good. The volunteers at the greeting table did a great job. The volunteers for our mailing list raffle handled the new process well, and got us a good start to our mailing list. I vote we celebrate by doing it all again next year! July July 1, 2015 – Board Meeting @ 7:00p.m. While I’m sure we’ll be making some noise for Independence Day, July will be a quieter month for our club. I know some people will get the travel bug this summer, and end up in some far away corner of the globe. For those of you in the area on our meeting nights, though, don’t miss out! We’ll have our usual trove of round and shiny prizes to raffle off at the meetings, and if the ranks are thinner, your chances to win will be that much greater. Wondering if your chip is in the bag? Maybe this is the month for it to be pulled! We’ve had a few meetings without a winner for our Last-Shot Silver Drawing, so the silver pot is starting to build up again. It could very well be worth your while to show up. July 8, 2015 – General Meeting @ 7:00p.m. (1) Program – Currency Sheet Sizes by Aaron Brown (2) Mini-Bourse Night July 22, 2015 – General Meeting @ 7:00p.m. Show & Tell Theme – Horses (1) Auction Also, don’t forget that things will get a little busier towards the end of the year. We’ll have our two big events for the juniors: the junior auction, and the junior bags for our Christmas party. Donations of prizes for our juniors are always appreciated. If you have a little something that doesn’t quite fit your current collecting goals, consider donating it to brighten a young numismatist’s day. See you all at the meeting (unless I get lost in some far away corner of the globe). -Aaron Brown August August 5, 2015 – Board Meeting @ 7:00p.m. August 12, 2015 – General Meeting @ 7:00p.m. (1) Program - TBD (2) Mini-Bourse Night August 26, 2015 – General Meeting @ 7:00p.m. Show & Tell Theme - Disney (1) Auction [Show & Tell Themes are suggestions only.
