Project Scope
The modernization of this campus includes three major components: infrastructure upgrades,
replacement of an existing portable classroom with new permanent classroom, and campus-wide
upgrade to meet Americans with Disabilities Act needs as identified in the District's ADA Transition
Plan. Infrastructure upgrades include replacing and upsizing the electrical service, distribution of
new power throughout campus, parking lot and playground pavement overlays, exterior painting,
additional exterior lighting, roofing replacement on selected buildings, upgrade telephone system
including PBX and hand sets in each classroom, and upgrade the existing LAN.
Project Budget
The project bid on November 14, 2006 and was awarded to BRCO Constructors, Inc. This project is
currently exceeding the current budget due to escalation and other soft cost overruns. Currently
construction change orders, both approved and projected, for this project are minimal and within
contingency allowance. No major change order costs are forecasted at this time.

Project Schedule
Notice to Proceed was issued on January 05, 2007. Contractor began work at Silverwood on March
05, 2007. The project is currently in the punch list phase. The new fire alarm system has
been installed and tested, however we are awaiting the arrival of annunciator panel for completion
of system. Site electrical work is complete and main switch gear has been energized by PG&E.
Students and staff have full use of all buildings and classrooms on campus.
