Single Inlet TDFA (Direct Driven)
Range
The TDFA Series is a range of compact direct-driven backward curved centrifugal fans specially designed for
light industrial applications such as process ventilation, and other HVAC installations requiring compact, quiet
and reliable equipment.
The complete range covers 7 sizes from 355mm to 710mm.
Performance data is based on tests carried out in accordance with BS848: Part1: 1963.
Construction
Fan casing is single inlet, manufactured from welded carbon sheet steel with a painted finish. Material
thickness is selected to provide robust fan assemblies coupled with a long, maintenance free service life.
The TDFA casing is designed for mounting in all 4 planes, ie: 0º, 90º, 180º and 270º, while the TDFA(L)
casing is specially designed for vertical installations as sometimes required on filtration applications, allowing
the motor and impeller to swivel from it’s casing on a hinged attachment for maintenance and inspection
purposes.
The IP55 motors are normally cast iron or aluminium frames fitted with ball bearings. Maximum ambient
operating temperature is 40ºC.
Impellers are backward curve type manufactured from welded carbon sheet steel with a machined steel hub,
and are statically and dynamically balanced.
