“The Celestial Event of
Our Lifetime!” – Bob

Day 1
August 18th
Meet in Denver, Colorado at the Holiday
Inn and Suites. The hotel is minutes
from the airport and shuttles are
available 24 hours a day. Hotel check-in
is at 3:00pm; please try to arrive at the
hotel by 5:30pm.
This evening we will gather at the hotel
for a meet and greet, followed by dinner
and a tour introduction from astronomer
Bob Berman.
Day 2
August 19th
Following breakfast, we will journey south toward
Manitou and Colorado Springs. Our first stop of the
day will be at the historic Manitou Cliff Dwellings.
From here we will visit the Garden of the Gods
Nature Center, a geological hotspot among the
Colorado red rocks. Once there, a park guide will
join the group aboard the bus and give a private,
educational tour. Guests will naturally have plenty
of opportunities to take pictures in this unique
and colorful landscape.
Guests will also have free time to explore and grab
lunch in Manitou Springs, a city surrounded by
ancient Anasazi architecture- a particular point of
interest for studying historic Native American
culture. It’s a vibrant town worth exploring.
This evening we will overnight at the Antler’s
Hilton, right in the heart of downtown Colorado
Springs.
Day 3
August 20th
Today we will head northward to Wyoming. En
route we will stop for lunch, with a chance to
stretch our legs in Fort Collins, then continue to
Casper, our home base for eclipse hunting on
this trip.
After dropping off luggage and a brief rest at
the hotel, buses will transport the group to a
private ranch about 20 miles outside of Casper.
Here we will enjoy an Oregon trail-style wagon
ride, and come together for dinner and a bonfire
under the stars. This exciting night will also end
with a “star party”, as guided by astronomer
Bob Berman! Later on, we will depart the ranch
for a good night’s rest back at the hotel.

the eclipse path toward clearer skies.
We will follow our total eclipse with lunch at a
local restaurant before traveling to Boulder,
CO. Here our accommodations are located in
the city center, at the luxurious St. Julien
Hotel. You will like this place! This evening is
designed with free time in mind, so guests
may individually enjoy the 4-star hotel and
lively downtown scene.
Day 5
August 22nd
Today guests have an exclusive opportunity to
tour the campus and headquarters of NIST
(National Institute of Science and
Technologies) and NOAA (National Oceanic and
Atmospheric Administration). As the
headquarters are extensive, we will break for
lunch in between the two tours. Again, the
evening is yours to explore and enjoy Boulder.
