Registration

Must be a student member of national ASHP organization

Student rate should be about $300 for entire conference
There is NO early-bird rate

Register online at ASHP website to become a national member at any time
Log-in to your ASHP account to verify your membership status/renew membership
Same rate no matter when you register, up until the conference starts
Registration includes admission to receptions and Students Night Out
Travel

Book early: be prepared to book your flight well in advance to avoid paying
higher prices for last-minute flights
Consider low-cost airlines such as Southwest, Frontier, and Spirit

to search for fares
If you have the time, driving is also an option!

discounted rates for conference attendees

Some hotels offer shuttles to the convention center, breakfast, wifi, etc. so plan
accordingly

Find roommates in advance so you are ready to book when the time comes
SSHP does not book rooms, this is done by groups of students on their
own!
Student Poster Submission

Reimbursement Process

If eligible, you must apply for GPSG Travel Award (see GPSG website)

Reimbursement through SSHP based on:

Academic year (P4s going to the residency showcase rank higher)
Poster presentation
Involvement in SSHP: fill out the survey about membership, meeting attendance, project involvement, and
leadership positions
●
If you are concerned about cost and choose not to go, please indicate the following
year that you waited to attend Midyear in order to receive additional funding
●
Please keep all your receipts for the flight, hotel, registration, and travel from the
airport to the hotel (and hotel to airport)

December (1st week) - GPSG application for travel reimbursement
