Dear Media members & Viking
Nation,
Welcome to FPD - I trust you’ll
enjoy tonight’s game! We believe
athletics offers a great opportunity
for our student- athletes to display
the gifts and talents that the good
Lord has given to each of them. The
athletes and coaches have worked
very hard to prepare for days like this, so I want to
thank you for supporting their efforts in a positive way.
To the working media: please let anyone on our staff
know if there’s anything we can do to assist you while
you cover today’s game. Your coverage is appreciated,
and our players and their parents enjoy the positive
reinforcement. We hope this media guide will offer statistical and historical information about our program
to enhance your coverage of our teams.

To the Viking Nation:
We celebrate today’s teams while we still honor and
remember our alumni.
We’ve hoped to compile this media guide for years, and
thanks to our coaches and communications staff, it has
become a reality. It is a work in progress, so if you find
something or know of any statistical records that we
need to research or document, please let us know.

We are proud of this second edition, and I trust you’ll
enjoy recalling some of the names and their accomplishments as you read the pages that follow.
Tonight may be the night we add a new name to the
record books! Enjoy the game!

welcome
letter from fpd headmaster gregg thompson
Dear Parents and Guests,
We welcome you to our beautiful campus and to today’s competition. I trust this will be an enjoyable time for you and your family.
Many of the opportunities that
our students experience have been
made possible through the generosity of our parents and alumni,
and we express our deepest gratitude for your continued support.
The Viking athletic program is an integral part of
the school’s mission to “educate and equip students to
change the world for God’s glory.” Sports provide an
opportunity for athletes, coaches and fans to practice
the principles of God’s word.
Competition offers an arena for the demonstration
of our faith in Jesus Christ and opens many doors
for active ministry. Our hope is that our athletes will
learn more and more each day what it means to serve
Christ.
We thank you for your attendance at today’s game,
and we join you in supporting each student-athlete in
his or her contribution to the team. Our hope is that
each child will experience the joy of being a part of
something bigger than themselves alone.
