He earned regional All-American honors in '98 and was a three-time Little East Conference all-star. 3 Second-year head coach Danny Gilbertson hopes to improve upon last season's 5-10 overall record. Travis Wood ASSISTANT COACH ASSISTANT COACH Continuing to follow in the giant footsteps of his late father, Kevin May begins his second season as a part-time assistant coach for the Golden Flyers. Travis Wood is back for his sixth season as a volunteer assistant coach and will once again work primarily with goalkeepers. Wood played scholastically at Spencerport High and the was an all-region performer for two seasons at Genesee Community College. May was a four-year starter at midfield while playing for his father, Doug May, who passed away in April, 2004. He amassed 12 goals and 16 assists for 40 points and was a two-time first-team Empire 8 Conference all-star. He finished his playing career at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pa. Wood has an advanced regional coaching license from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and is a fourth-grade teacher in the Fairport School District. May also earned regional all-star honors in 2002 while leading the Golden Flyers to a 12-5-1 record and a berth in the Empire 8 Tournament finals. Andy Evangelos Jeff Oliver May played high school soccer at Wheatland-Chili and was a Livingston County League all-star while helping the team to a pair of Section Five titles. ASSISTANT COACH ASSISTANT COACH Jeff Oliver joins the Golden Flyers' soccer staff for his first season as a part-time assistant coach. Andy Evangelos joined the Nazareth soccer staff this season as a volunteer assistant coach. A native of Fairport, Oliver played for three years at SUNY Fredonia and helped lead the Blue Devils to three SUNYAC titles and three trips to the NCAA Tournament. A native of Mendon, Evangelos was a member of the Nazareth soccer team for four seasons before graduating last spring with a degree in chemistry. Oliver's coaching experience includes three seasons as an assistant coach at Fairport High and four seasons as head coach of the Rochester Junior Rhinos' Under17 Elite team. Evangelos played scholastically at Honeoye Falls-Lima High School and was a Livingston County League all-star there. Evangelos will work primarily with the Golden Flyers' goalkeepers. Oliver is licensed by the United States Soccer Federation and is a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. He also teaches math at Irondequoit High School. May's coaching experience includes working soccer camps at Lake Placid and St. Lawrence University. A Pts.
