Although Kim first began making candles for friends and family
at her kitchen table nearly 20 years ago, it was during a trip-ofa-lifetime to Europe several years later when she discovered a
whole new way of handcrafting her popular products. Visiting a
500-year-old perfume house and a 700-year-old candle-making
factory in France (where they once made the candles for the
Palace of Versailles) totally changed the way she sourced her
ingredients and blended her formulas. “Traveling changes your
perception on everything,” she says. Kim went on to study
aromatherapy extensively so she could create the unique
aromatherapy blends she uses in her candles today. The pure oil
blends awaken the senses, rejuvenate the soul, and beautifully
scent the home. Magic Fairy Candles, still lovingly hand-poured
one at a time by Kim and her staff in Longmont, Colorado,
embody Kim’s firm commitment to crafting only all-natural
products, and she purchases her ingredients locally whenever
possible. The candles are made with only soy wax, natural cotton
wicks, and the purest fragrances and essential oils available—like
lavender, rose, orange, and Fraser fir. The company’s other
products—also completely natural—include body/room sprays,
bath bombs, soaps, scrubs, and lotion bars. Magic Fairy Candles
