TrekSta Newsletter - Vol . 2 1. Outdoor footwear show <2010 OutDoor Show held in Friedrichshafen, Germany> In 2010, it is the first year to divide the stands between TrekSta and Hypergrip respectively at the OutDoor Friedrichshafen, which is more efficient to have a meeting with customers each booth. We had a very much profitable meeting with potentional distributors. TrekSta exhibited more expanded products with 6 different categories Trail Comfort, Kobra , Walking Travel, Mountain Approach, Backpacking and Sandals - with total 114 SKU. Each distributor could have a meeting with their customers to show the whole product range at the show, and they were more impressed how TrekSta works in Europe. We had a good meeting to open more distributors in Italy, Slovenia, UK, Russia, Australia, etc at the show and Charly Messmer who's managing difector visited their office and more meetings to get the clear business plan to boom up the sales in Europe with more good partners. The Outdoor Compass announced the worldwide ranking for International Rugged Outdoor Footwear Market on 19th of Jul. 2010. TrekSta was newly ranked and remarkably marked on 16th among 25 brands which is the most fastest increasing company. International Rugged Outdoor Footwear Market - TrekSta ranked 16th < Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2010 held in Saltlake City, USA> TrekSta booth was one of the famous place at the Outdoor fair, successfully achieve business performance, especially upgraded Nestfit which is TrekSta's main technology caught on fire from many famous European Outdoor brands and visitors for finding some interesting issues during the show. TrekSta provide Experience Zone for visiting customers. It could help their understanding of TrekSta's innovation and progressive technology. < Japan Trade Show> Many visitors were impressed with concept of TrekSta Nestfit technology We've got quite positive response on Nestfit technology to fit Japanese market and customer needs. It is expected to continue to grow and expand in Japanese market < Outdoor fair in Stockholm - Sporthaus MOXTER AB> At the Sportsfair in January we for the first time presented (showed/not sold) Treksta. “Best in show” or we could also call it “Best in Shoe” ! However we were outstanding most interes<ng brand at this fair. Both customers and colleagues in the industry gave us compliments for “the most innova1ve we have seen for years” and “fantas1c fit with an easy to tell story”. At our first pre-sales fair in Stockholm (Outdoor shops) we had 24 customers booked and 23 placed orders! The process with pre-order bookings has also been very successful and our goal to have customers from different segments of the market was important and we now have following categories placed orders: Sport shops - normal sport-shops with all kind of sporting equipment no discount/low price stores Shoe shops - shoe-shops specialized in quality shoes with good performance Walking/running shops - shops specialized in shoes only for walking/running. Also producers of individual foot-beds. Outdoor shops - important outdoor-stores with high knowledge of footwear Orthopedic stores - shops specialized in good quality shoes – producing individual foot-beds for customers We do expect big growth in 2011 year thanks to MOXTER for their big effort to launch TrekSta in the Scandinavia market. 2. Establish a partnership between TrekSta and The Korea National Service to protect environment TrekSta has recently signed a partnership with the Korea National Service to build up environment friendly tour culture last September. TrekSta is expected to support strongly "Green point system" introduced by the Korea National Service. The "Green point system" is a pan-national clean activity to lead people to take back abandoned trash or their trash and give them some point as much as the amount of trash. People can use the point accumulated in parking lot and outdoor camp. TrekSta plans to support such goods as souvenir, trash bag and its stand needed to manage 'Green point system" and leads campaign for clean activity in national park and customer service activity for the visitor. 3. Korean World-class Product - 'World Champ' Kick-Off <KOREA> > The KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) announced that they chose 5 potential companies to focus on bringing up the world-class companies named with 'World Champ' project. TrekSta is being seleted among one of 5 companies - TrekSta, Medison (Medical Company), Soosan Heavy Industreis Co., LTD , Mirae Nanotec, and Crucialtec. These companies have certificate of World-class Products, which we got authority to use the symbol of "Advanced Technology KOREA " for our brand, TrekSta. This AT&D was given to 6 big enterprises - Samsung Electronics, KIA Motors, LG Electronics , Hyundai Motors, and Akyung industry and 10 small and medium enterprises which TrekSta included. TrekSta is the only one outdoor brand seleteced as AT&D among all kinds of outdoor brands in Korea. With World Champ project, KOTRA will mainly support the overseas sales marketing with their KBC spread out worldwidely, so we'll speed up to luanch TrekSta into the Europe such as Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. We do expect more growth with this project. 4. Marketing Activities Worldwidely < TrekSta Korea > TrekSta has started new concept of advertising campaign. This is a series of advertisement by each outstanding and historic city in the world. It will contine to move on other countries after Madrid Spain, Praha,Czech. New TrekSta shops opened in Korea.
