GS411 Girl Scout Programs & Events 2014-2015 The Gi rl Sco ut Pro You 'll grams Be tal k All Ye ing about ar Lon g. We could tell you about how Girl Scout programs are designed to challenge girls to reach their potential. Or we could tell you about how Girl Scout programs give girls the tools they need to build courage, confidence and character to make the world a better place. But honestly, we just want to tell you about how these girl scout programs are really, really fun. Welcome to another exciting year of Girl Scout programs! Each of the programs in this booklet (GS411) is designed to build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place. Some programs are Council-led; others are run by volunteers and third party groups. For anything that is Council-led, you can register for the event online at gscm. org. For anything that is volunteer or group led, the program listing will explain who you need to contact in order to participate. Also be sure to check out the new Girl Scouts on the Go page at the back of the booklet for a list of Girl Scout-friendly organizations in the area. If you have any questions, please contact Council at 410.358.9711. All GS411 events are posted to the events calendar at gscm.org, however, new events are added all the time. Be sure to check gscm.org often to discover the many opportunities Girl Scouts of Central Maryland has to offer all year long. We hope you have a fantastic year! Otherwise, the director of the program will collect forms from girls attending their program at the beginning of the event. There is a copy of a health history form in the back of this booklet. Additional copies can be found on our website at gscm.org. As per GSCM guidelines, confidentiality requires that medical information is available on an “as needed” basis. Therefore, regarding Health History Records: • Health History forms need to be in a sealed envelope with the individual’s name written on the envelope. • The adult in charge must be instructed to open the envelope only when there is a need to do so. • Health History Records are made available only to the person serving as the first-aider or health supervisor at a Girl Scout function.
