FLAG OFFICER’S REPORTS
Tina Powell - Commodore
Hello Everybody! Our Gem
of a club is so Fun. By now
all the new members have realized how much we care
about our special place on the
river. Yes this is your special
place, so come and enjoy and
please know you and your opinion matters. Thank
everyone for your particiation and lets continue to enjoy our club.
April is the spring cleaning month. Mark your calendar for April 16. This is when we clean the club and
that includes the galley, you know like the stove and
the refrigerator. We clean the places that we do not
have the time to clean during the year. It is really important you mark your calendars, grab a rag and help
take care of our special place on the river.
We continue to plan the front door system change.
The new cards will be handed out to each member,
please continue to stay tune for more information.
We will have the club open on Saturday April 23
which is the Butter and Eggs Parade. The cruise out
to Sausalito is on the same weekend. This is a tough
choice. Be sure to let Mike Freeman our cruise director know if you will be cruising to Sausalito with
the club.
We continue our fun with Anchors Aweigh for a
Good Time!
See you at the Club, Cheers
David Quist - Vice Commodore

PYC CRUISE SCHEDULE UPDATE
The good news is our 2016 weather has been efficient at refilling empty
reservoirs. The bad news is that it has resulted in cancellations of
planned cruises.
What YOU can do: Sausalito is a wonderful cruising destination,
especially in the spring. Please let me know if you would like to join the
group cruising to Schoonmaker Point Marina. I have asked the Harbormaster for room for 7 boats. Let’s fill all those spots!
Request: Send an email to [email protected] if you
would like one of the 7 berths available for the Sausalito
cruise on April 22-24.
Schoonmaker Point Marina
Update on May Cruise to Petaluma:
This cruise coincides with the PYC Memorial Weekend Event.
Cruise into Petaluma to enjoy all the associated festivities.
We are expecting many boats from other clubs.
If you would like to bring your boat to the Turning Basin – email [email protected] so we
can get a headcount.
Update on June Cruise to South Beach Harbor:
We have 5 spots reserved at South Beach Harbor for the weekend of June 17-19th.
Request: Please let me know if you would like one of the berths. I have already heard from
Party Animal, Andiamo and Patience. So ther e ar e 2 ber ths left to be claim ed.
I’ll assign those in the order in which I receive requests.

Spirit”. This is one of the newer ships of Hornblower's fleet. She provides spectacular views of the parade and beautiful San Francisco Bay. During our cruise we will enjoy a fabulous served sit-down lunch
with a no host bar and a front row view of the parade. Purchase your tickets and bring your friends!
Limited parking: available on the pier for $10 (mention PICYA)
The "Opening Day on the Bay" Decorated Boat Parade, hosted by the Pacific Inter-Club Yacht Association (PICYA), representing over 100 yacht clubs in Northern California celebrates the official beginning
of the 2016 boating season on San Francisco Bay. This year's theme is "Heroes on the SF Bay"! The parade will feature over 100 historic workboats, fireboats, tow boats, classic and contemporary craft decorated to the theme. There will be both power and sailboats competing for best decoration honors.
