This program is at the core of the Fitton Center’s community-focused mission and allows us to bring quality experiences in the arts to people of all ability levels, and backgrounds. Some community partners include the YMCA, Booker T. Washington Community Center, Boys & Girls Club of Hamilton, as well as other social service and care organizations. Formed through a partnership between the City of Hamilton and the Fitton Center for Creative Arts, StreetSpark is a new program founded to further the arts identity in the city through exciting murals and public art projects. The program creates arts engagement by producing high quality art, creating opportunities for local artists and enhancing the visual appeal of the city. With the goal of fueling Hamilton with art, StreetSpark will bring visible murals and artwork into our community. This program is energizing our streetscape, creating awareness of the arts, and sparking new development throughout Hamilton. Sponsored by: Judge John (Jack) & Shirley Moser Two murals have been created during the summer of 2016 in Hamilton. Artists were invited to submit a range of designs, and the winning murals were chosen by a selection committee of arts professionals in our area. StreetSpark is off to a great start and we look forward to adding more public art to our cityscape soon!
