The Dolomites have enchanted UNESCO with their incomparable beauty. Sharp pinnacles, rugged ridges and steep rock faces glow a deep red in the evening sun before gliding gently through

1,000 Kilometer Touring Network
Since spring 2011, all bike enthusiasts can cycle
across Europe’s largest high Alpine pasture on
roughly 30 signposted mountainbike trails, or pump
the pedals at the foot of the Sciliar. The gentle bike
trails have an elevation gain of 200 – 300 metres,
but those who like a real challenge can attempt to
overcome altitude differences of up to 2,500 metres
on the “Tierser Alpl” tour, for example. The cycling
tour network extends over the Seiser Alm holiday
region and entire Grödental valley.

No other event can combine history, sport, tradition,
culture and folklore in such perfect balance as the
Oswald von Wolkenstein Ride. The traditional riding
spectacle takes place every year amidst magnificent scenery before a thrilled audience. The Oswald
von Wolkenstein Ride starts at Trostburg Castle in
Waidbruck. With fluttering banners, the teams then
move from tournament to tournament to match their
skills in speed, agility and horsemanship.

“Nordic Walking Eco Trail”
Starting from the campsite, the 10-11 kilometer long,
signposted, circular hiking trail takes you first to the
Völser Weiher/Laghetto di Fie, then on through the
partial forest of St. Vigil in the Sciliar Nature Park
on hiking trail 2 to the Seiser Alm Bahn cableway in
Seis. The trail then leads you back to the campsite
through meadows, fields and forests on hiking trails
7 and 7a.

Super offers for guests who do not want to move their

in the entire South Tyrol Linked Transport System,
which means that one card covers the entire region of
South Tyrol.
The natural bathing lake
“Völser Weiher”
With the Sciliar in front of you, surrounded by
magnificent forests and not least because of the
multitude of beautiful footpaths and hiking trails,
the Völser Weiher/Laghetto di Fie is a jewel of a lake
which can be reached on foot from the campsite
in only 20 minutes and is well worth a visit any time
of year.
The lake was awarded “5 Vele” by Italy’s largest
environmental organization “Legambiente”. This is
the top rating that can be given to a lake due to its
scenic beauty and water quality.
