enchanting wood, a particular form of erosion ( called at “tafoni” or “honeycomb”) and blocks of rock in eternal balance. Will be explained how was
created the island of Ischia, the volcano and the thermal water. Lunch in a

Meeting of participants at 11:00 am every Saturday. Starting from port of
Ischia, it has a circular shape and is a volcanic crater. Signs of volcanic activity are the different sources of thermal water scattered in the port area. From
the port going to the volcano of Montagnone Maschiata that overlooks the
port. Arrived on the top, climbing down into the crater. Maquis, olive trees,
Pine trees they have taken possession of the crater oval-shaped. This hollow
is a beautiful paradise far from noises of the port and in absolute silence.
Leaving the hollow and climbing up the edge of the crater and going to the
volcano of Fondo Ferraro. Here also climbing down into the volcano coming
to the centre of the crater. At last , going into the crater of the Arso volcano.
Is a lava flow that came down to the sea on 1031. Into the crater you’ll find
“fumarole” and the crest of lava. A small restaurant/bar created into the
crater is waiting for you!
