A modern impressionist collection
evoking the intangible colours, energy, and light at Sunset and Sunrise.
Illustrated in impressionistic designs with depth and multi-dimensional angles catching
the light and refracting the vibrant variety of hues in the beautiful gemstones, specially
hand selected and arranged to represent the emotive sunset and sunrise.
Inspired by long distant evenings and nascent early mornings, by magical travels, by
the impressionist masters and by a love of gemmology.
A collection to reflect the striking colours and light visible, and the glow of energy
sensed at Sunset and Sunrise in cool clear vivid and rich warm tones.
The Fresh jewels are created with a brilliant cut round yellow sapphire, and a
harmonious palate of pale blue topaz, violet amethysts, mauve iolites and pink
tourmalines in faceted baguette cuts diffracting all the colours within. Set in 18 karat
white gold to highlight the cool brightness of the dawn and dusk.
The Golden pieces are formed from a bright golden yellow round faceted sapphire,
and a fusion of orange yellows, pink and purple baguette cut citrine and pink
tourmaline gemstones. These jewels are set in 18 karat yellow gold to highlight the
golden warmth and flame like flashes of the sunset and sunrise.

Each piece in the collection is made by hand in Italy and can be created in either the Golden
or Fresh gemstone colour selections, with more designs to be added in the future.

Daou jewellery is designed by Dalia Daou and based in London, relaunched after an
interrupted but glorious history dating back to 1930. Daou designs have been sought
after for their beauty, colour, life and innovation; inspired by nature, colour and form
for three generations. Creating original, collectable fine jewellery pieces admired and
desired by stars, sovereigns and society. Worn by the beautiful Brigitte Bardot and her
contemporaries, Daou held a royal appointment whereby pieces were offered as gifts
to heads of state such as HRH Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Ranier of Monaco. As the
new designer and director Dalia aspires to maintain Daou jewellery's innovative and
artistic principles and honour the Daou jewellery heritage.
Dalia has always been surrounded by art and creativity leading to art and sculpture
studies at l’École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris and Wimbledon
College of Art. Graduating in Physics from the University of Bristol, and a Masters in
the History of Science, Medicine and Technology from Imperial College London; and
after working in luxury PR and finance internationally, Dalia returned to the allure of
design and jewellery. Learning jewellery specific design techniques and gemmology at
Central Saint Martins, the Gemological Institute of America and Hatton Garden in
London to complement her existing knowledge and apply her artistic skills. Combining
these and a lifetime of familiarity with fine jewellery, has led to a multi-faceted
understanding of the art and science of designing precious jewellery; the sculptural
three-dimensionality and important considerations of how pieces are worn, the
fascinating crystal structures of gemstones, and the properties of light and geometry,
all contributing to Dalia's designs.
Dalia's designs are inspired by light and it's colour and effects through natural and
scientific interpretations, the beauty in natural forms and the influence of global art,
and not least by the creativity in her jewellery design heritage. The combination of
Dalia's scientific background and artistic flair create unique and eye-catching pieces.
Whether sinuous organic shapes or sharp geometric lines there is always thoughtful
sculptural design and elegance in Daou jewellery.
