SIEMENS CC62P Detection and measurement system for toxic and explosive gases Version 3.0 English / September 2009 Page 1 Characteristics (part 1/2) MODULAR PANEL: From 1 to 4 module lines (16 detectors/line) RS485C digital communication ENGLISH or SPANISH Keypad available 4 independent relay outputs per module line Module line programmation: groups and ventilation and alarm levels, ventilation delay, cyclical ventilation, type of gas, reading mode and checking warning. 2 reading modes: Maximums or Sequential 2 ventilation modes per group: Automatic or Manual Page 2 Characteristics (part 2/2) 2 levels of access: Engineer and User, with different functions. Connection of 4-20mA detectors using interface with automatic addressing Up to 1000m of distance (toxic) and 650m (explosive) Integration: data transmission to PC, OPC Server & ModBus System checking: Maintenance operations by one people Designed to operate under most important CO European standards Page 3 Module line configuration (part 1/2) Each group works independently: different levels of operation can be programmed depending on the gas to detect. 4 relays per module line. Each line can be divided into: 1, 2 or 4 TOXIC GASES groups Each group works over one relay (1 ventilation speed ) or two relays (2 ventilation speed) 1 or 2 EXPLOSIVE GASES groups Each group works over 3 levels: PREALARM, ALARM and an acoustic WARNING signal Page 4 Module line configuration (part 2/2) Page 5 Module line display Gas Group of detection assigned to the detector Auxiliary messages: Reading mode, acoustics statement and systems revisions TOX: Ventilation status EXP: Manoeuvre status State of the detector Number of the detector Gas level Messages in ENGLISH and in the standard programmed language Page 6 Types of detectors SIEMENS CC62P uses RS485C detectors: Detectors for toxic gases & O2 using electrochemical technology. DURTEX (explosive gases using catalytic technology) DIREX (explosive gases and CO2 using infrared technology) Also, any other 4-20mA detector (using interface) Page 7 Connection of detectors 4 wires shield cable (2 x 1,5mm2 - 2 x 0,25 mm2) RS485C twisted pair cable communications Open loop connection Page 8 Detectors for toxic gases & O2 Maintenance and calibration procedure Detectors for toxic gases and 02 Available for this gases: CO, NO2, HCl, H2S, Cl2, NO, SO2, O2 RS485C communication Useful life (CO): 4-5 years Max. distance 1000m Automatic control and integrated thermal compensation Page 9 Every 12 months: Check the correct functioning of the detectors by using testing bottles of the correspondent gas. One every 2 years: Doing the zero adjust. At the end of the useful life: Check the state of the detector. If required, replace the sensor. CO detectors that need zero adjust will indicate it with the LED on when this menu is activated. It is not recommended calibration at installation. All detectors have been calibrated at factory for all their useful life. Total reliability in CO detection SIEMENS CC62P Lowest scale is fixed at 400 ppm while the range of the sensor is from 0 to 1000 ppm. Assuring, in this way that the detector´s usual loss of sensitivity will not to affect the system´s functioning during its life time. Page 10 Detection of CO and NO2 Detection of CO in underground car parks with no natural ventilation and road tunnels is obliged. Highly recommended dual detection of CO and NO2 due to increasing presence of diesel vehicles. UNDERGROUND CAR PARKS Efficient control of gas presence and ventilation. Sectoring by areas and stages. Saving of electrical consumption. ROAD TUNNELS Page 11 RS485C addressable detectors: Total control of the installation in real time Easy installation: just one cable Minimum maintenance operations CO detection standards Spanish standard POSSIBLE MODULE LINE CONFIGURATIONS Each zone can be divided into 1, 2 or 4 groups (each one provided of relay for acting) controlling independently 1, 2 or 4 acting groups . Page 12 CO detection standards International / portuguese standard Each zone can be divided into 1 or 2 groups, controlling independently 1 or 2 groups of inhaling/breathing out (each group has assigned 2 relays). Use of double speed ventilators Page 13 Other installations Protection notice / Copyright notice Page 14 Detectors for explosive gases RS485C communication Detection range from 0 to 100% L.E.L. Useful life: 3 years DURTEX HC DURTEX HC PRO Max. distance from panel: 650m Optional module or relay output Selecting the gas to detected using a jumper Optical indicators for loop and sensor fault Sensor and compensator in different encapsulates Low consumption (30mA-24V) and voltage (10V- 30V DC) DURTEX X-HC PRO Detector provided of synterized filter and reusable adaptor Silicon vapors resistant (HDMS) Page 15 Detectors for explosive gases and CO2 by infrared Specially indicated for: DIREX Installations with emissions from inhibitant or poisonous gases. Atmospheres with no oxygen presence Installations where maintenance operations must be reduced to the minimum Detection range 0-100% L.E.L.(EXP),0-2% vol (CO2) Useful life: More than 6 years RS485C communication Optional relay module or relay output Optical indicators for loop and sensor fault. DIREX X Low consumption (30mA-24V) and voltage (10V-30V DC) Detector provided of synterized filter and reusable adaptor Page 16 Maintenance of the detectors After 4 months: Check the correct functioning of the detectors by using testing bottles of the correspondent gas Once a year: Doing the zero adjust At the end of the useful life: Check the state of the detector. If required, replace the sensor It is not recommended calibration at installation. All detectors have been calibrated at factory for all their useful life. Page 17 Detectors using infrared technology do not require any maintenance operation during all its useful life. Every 6 months verify the correct functioning of the detectors Detectors configuration For explosive detection, from a total of 4 available relays, 2 relays per group are used (PREALARM - ALARM) Therefore, the module line can be only divided into 2 groups. In case of mixed detection, (EXP + Toxic), there will be a non used relay as toxic gas detection only requires one relay Page 18 Configuration of 4-20mA detectors Interface 4-20mA for connecting 4-20mA detectors to SIEMENS CC62P. The following configurations per module lines, can be installed: 1 Interface for 8 4-20mA detectors + 8 RS485C detectors 1 Interface for 8 4-20mA detectors + 1 Interface for 8 4-20mA detectors Detectors connected to interfaces, are automatically addressed according to the input number to they are connected to. Group 1 1 or 2 gases Group 2 2 groups 1 acting relay per group Connection of 4-20mA detectors to the interface is point to point Page 19 SIEMENS CC62P Integration SIEMENS CC62P allows unidirectional integration to BMS or similar using: 1.
