Module line configuration (part 1/2)
Each group works independently: different levels of operation can be
programmed depending on the gas to detect.
4 relays per module line.
Each line can be divided into:
1, 2 or 4 TOXIC GASES groups
Each group works over one relay (1 ventilation speed ) or two relays
(2 ventilation speed)
1 or 2 EXPLOSIVE GASES groups
Each group works over 3 levels: PREALARM, ALARM and an acoustic

Types of detectors
SIEMENS CC62P uses RS485C
detectors:
 Detectors for toxic gases & O2 using
electrochemical technology.
 DURTEX (explosive gases using
catalytic technology)
 DIREX (explosive gases and CO2
using infrared technology)
Also, any other 4-20mA detector (using
interface)

Useful life (CO): 4-5 years
Max. distance 1000m
Automatic control and integrated

 Every 12 months: Check the correct
functioning of the detectors by using testing
bottles of the correspondent gas.
 One every 2 years: Doing the zero adjust.
 At the end of the useful life: Check the state
of the detector. If required, replace the
sensor.
CO detectors that need zero adjust will indicate
it with the LED on when this menu is activated.
It is not recommended calibration at installation.
All detectors have been calibrated at factory for
all their useful life.
Total reliability in CO detection
SIEMENS CC62P
Lowest scale is fixed at
400 ppm while the range
of the sensor is from 0 to
1000 ppm. Assuring, in
this
way
that
the
detector´s usual loss of
sensitivity will not to affect
the system´s functioning
during its life time.
Page 10
Detection of CO and NO2
Detection of CO in underground car parks with no
natural ventilation and road tunnels is obliged.
Highly recommended dual detection of CO and
NO2 due to increasing presence of diesel vehicles.
UNDERGROUND
CAR PARKS
Efficient control of gas presence and ventilation.
Sectoring by areas and stages. Saving of electrical
consumption.
ROAD TUNNELS

RS485C addressable detectors:
 Total control of the installation in real time
 Easy installation: just one cable
 Minimum maintenance operations
CO detection standards
Spanish standard
POSSIBLE MODULE LINE CONFIGURATIONS
Each zone can be divided into 1, 2 or 4 groups (each one provided of relay for
acting) controlling independently 1, 2 or 4 acting groups .

CO detection standards
International / portuguese standard
Each zone can be divided into 1 or 2 groups, controlling independently 1 or 2
groups of inhaling/breathing out (each group has assigned 2 relays). Use of
double speed ventilators

Maintenance of the detectors
 After 4 months: Check the correct
functioning of the detectors by using
testing bottles of the correspondent gas
 Once a year: Doing the zero adjust
 At the end of the useful life: Check the
state of the detector. If required,
replace the sensor
It is not recommended calibration at
installation. All detectors have been
calibrated at factory for all their useful
life.
Page 17
 Detectors
using
infrared
technology do not require any
maintenance operation during all
its useful life.
 Every 6 months verify the correct
functioning of the detectors
Detectors configuration
For explosive detection, from a total of 4 available relays, 2 relays per group
are used (PREALARM - ALARM) Therefore, the module line can be only
divided into 2 groups.
In case of mixed detection, (EXP + Toxic), there will be a non used relay as
toxic gas detection only requires one relay
Page 18
Configuration of 4-20mA detectors
Interface 4-20mA for connecting 4-20mA detectors to SIEMENS CC62P.
The following configurations per module lines, can be installed:
 1 Interface for 8 4-20mA detectors + 8 RS485C detectors
 1 Interface for 8 4-20mA detectors + 1 Interface for 8 4-20mA detectors
Detectors connected to interfaces, are automatically addressed according to the input
number to they are connected to.
Group 1
1 or 2 gases
Group 2
2 groups
1 acting relay per group
Connection of 4-20mA detectors to the interface is point to point
