Location Hire The George Tavern offers beautiful, character spaces available for location work. Used widely in fashion, film and television work, the space encompasses a range of charming spaces, a Georgian theatre, a large attic space and a country kitchen. Steeped in history, the building boasts a quirky but beautiful aesthetic, malleable to suit any shoot. Client List Recent shoots include MTV’s ‘Bang’, Plan B’s film ‘Ill Manors’, the Sally Potter film ‘Bomb,’ Channel 4’s Morgana Show, as well as individual shoots with the likes of Kate Moss, Grimes, Georgia Jagger, Justin Timerlake, Grace Jones, Grandmaster Flash, Mark Knopfler and Nick Cave. Containing many features, including bare beams, wooden floors and a startling natural light. The Theatre The 600 year old Georgian theatre features a stage with traditional velvet curtains and an 18 foot ceiling. The stripped back wallpaper provides a popular backdrop for shoots. The Bar Framed by 600 year old original tiles, The George Tavern’s bar is obviously a key feature within the building. Used extensively for both location and as a thriving music venue, the bar wields an individual charm and aesthetic. The Bedrooms With numerous bedrooms to choose from, The George Tavern can cater for various location requirements. Both the Soldier Room (top) and the Dressing Room (middle) have individual character that can be utilised for various purposes. The Kitchen The country style kitchen features an Aga and Victorian furnishings. With west facing windows, the room is spacious, bright with a striking charm. The Living Room and The Staircase With plenty of notable features, the living room contains a wealth of trinkets and textures. An original Georgian wide wooden staircase stretches from the 1st floor to the 3rd floor, and is a great feature for shoots. The White Rooms The largest spaces in the building, the white rooms boast elegance that transfers to many purposes. Featuring a dining table, piano, wooden flooring and large sash windows. The Bathroom and The Painting Studio The pink 50’s style bathroom, features a pink carpet, pink tiles and has a kitsch pink theme throughout. The artist’s studio features 360 degrees of natural light, paintings and easels.
