Piano Battle Sunday, March 19, 2017 · 3pm $28, $38 & $44 Hypnotic Brass Ensemble Friday, March 24, 2017 · 7:30pm | $24, $28 & $32 Hypnotic Brass Ensemble is composed of seven brothers from an extraordinary musical family from the south side of Chicago. Together they have toured throughout five continents playing with everyone from Prince, Mos Def, Mick Jones (The Clash) and Damon Albarn (Blur, Gorillaz). They’ve performed Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Sydney Opera House and Carnegie Hall. Whether or not they are friends in real life, mercy is the last thing on their mind when fighting on stage. The duo goes head-tohead on stage, charming and enchanting the audience with a variety of classical pieces. The show is divided into several rounds, each featuring a certain musical style. All members of the audience will be given cards (one side black/one side white) and will vote on the pianists’ performances and will eventually crown the winner. Of course, this might not be the limit of your participation...part serious classical recital, part tongue-in-cheek performance by two classy pianists; the Piano Battle is a unique concert that pleases both the ear and the eye. 2016-2017 Season Preview presented by: ZOPPÉ Free Summer Concerts Jarabe Mexicano Friday, July 29, 2016 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 7:30pm The Music of Motown starring Joe Bourne Friday, August 5, 2016 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 7:30pm US Navy Band Cruisers Sunday, August 14, 2016 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 3pm Tres Guitarres Friday, August 19, 2016 . . . . . . . . . . . . . 7:30pm Cisco & the Racecars Friday, August 26, 2016 . . . . . . . . . . . . . 7:30pm Saturday, November 12, 2016 · 3pm & 7:30pm $26 & $34 Hal Bogle Theatre Letters Home puts the current wars in Afghanistan and Iraq front and center by bringing to life actual letters written by soldiers serving in the Middle East.
