Name: Robert Gloster
Occupation: Retired Emergency Physician
Recent Classes: Italian Parliamo, Photography, Cakes, Focaccia Bread, Street Life Photography,
Salsa Dancing, Authentic Italian Cooking.
Why I take classes at South: South makes me feel like a graduate student again! The staff is
professional, encouraging, and always open to feedback. I take time to study in the library, sip coffee
at Bernie’s Café, take pictures in the Chinese Garden and Arboretum, and speak foreign languages
with the students on campus.
What I like about Continuing Education at South: My greatest enthusiasm is for the richness
and variation of the courses offered. I retired a few years ago and I feel that my mind is still very
stimulated, my cooking and baking skills sharper, and I can finally dance Salsa! And, I have made
some warm and treasured friendships over the years.
