FROM THE PRESIDENT - Brownsburg Older Adult Alliance
Brownsburg Older Adult Alliance August 2016 Volume 1, Issue 5 FROM THE PRESIDENT July is gone and we are zooming into August. Hot summer days are here. School has started. Buses are back out on the road and fall sports are in the air which means, of course, that I am dreaming about the cooler months ahead!! Here at BOAA we had a big July with lots of new and exciting activities added to the calendar. We gained some new members and held a very timely educational social on Preventing Heat Exhaustion and Strokes. Our Bake and Take with Peggy is a hit and Peggy is working hard to get food donated and canned for people to take with them when they come to the club. We hope that the program will grow each month and encourage everyone to join us on an upcoming 2nd and 4th Thursday. This month we are moving to the clubhouse at Bailey Park for the event. Please see the insert in the newsletter for all of the details. Lunch and Games (1st and 3rd Thursdays) is gaining new people each time and we are having lots of fun laughing and learning about each other as we play games and eat lunch together.
