WAT ER SMART Water Management Solutions ® As landscape and irrigation contractors know, conservation is becoming a bigger issue than ever. As a result, Toro is striving to find ways to promote efficient use of water. Often that leads to new innovations that make our existing systems better, such as sensors that shut off sprinklers when it rains. The Riverside, California research complex has several test areas for evaluating spray patterns and optimum water distribution by accurately measuring and tracking the consistency and volume or precipitation applied, Toro is able to determine how improvements can be made on nozzles and controllers. Dependable Service, Trustworthy People Toro strives to provide service you can depend on and people you can trust. We are proud of the strongest, worldwide distribution network in the irrigation industry. Toro distributors and contractors are experts in offering the right services, products and after-sale support to ensure complete customer satisfaction. Provides you consistent coverage and balanced precipitation rates within different areas. Toro Variable Arc Nozzles give you consistent spray patterns available. Adjustable from 0º to 360º, TVANs provide a variety of arc settings to uniformly cover any terrain. • Avoid over- or under-watering when various arcs are used together • Available in 5’, 8’, 10’, 12’, 15’ radii and special spray patterns • Nozzles are color-coded by radius to simplify identification and replacement • Provide infinitely adjustable options, increasing your flexibility • Available in 8’, 10’, 12’, 15’, and 17’ radii • Color-coding of nozzles provides easy identification and replacement • Adjustment screw allows up to 25% radius reduction • Reduces variety of fixed-arc nozzles you need to carry 570Z Series 570Z XF (X-Flow) Fixed Sprays The 570Z XF features Toro’s unique X-Flow® shutoff device built right into the riser, so it automatically eliminates water loss if the nozzle is removed or damaged. That means no more geysers that waste water or cause erosion damage. • The 570Z XF Series is perfect for landscape applications or high-traffic areas • X-Flow shutoff device minimizes water loss from broken or missing nozzles • Allows for dry nozzle removal/installation while system is running • Flow rates of 0.05 - 5.6 GPM (0,2 - 25,4 LPM) 570Z PR (Pressure Regulator) The latest addition in the 570Z Series is the Toro 570Z PR model, featuring an in-riser Pressure Regulator. This patented technology works well in irrigation systems with high or varying operating pressure, including long lines and slope applications. 570Z XF • Maintains constant outlet pressure of approximately 30 psi (2 Bar) • Eliminates misting and fogging caused by excess pressure • Allows high flow alarms on central satellite control systems to activate while maintaining pressure regulation • Flow rates of 0.05 - 3.30 GPM (0,2 - 15,0 LPM) 570Z PRX (Pressure Regulator and X-Flow) With the 570Z PRX spray, you get the advantages of a pressure regulator and Toro’s X-Flow shutoff device built into the riser. That way, if a nozzle is damaged or removed, the water loss will be eliminated without shutting down the rest of the system. • Promotes optimum water distribution in variable pressure situations • Automatically prevents serious water loss from damaged nozzles • Allows for dry nozzle removal/installation while system is running • Flow rates of 0.05 - 3.30 GPM (0,2 - 15,0 LPM) 570Z PRX X-Flow® Technology X-Flow Device Nozzle Screen X-Flow Device With X-Flow Water Pressure Water Pressure If the nozzle screen is removed, the water pressure automatically pushes the X-Flow device up to form a water-tight seal that stops up to 99% of the water flow. The nozzle screen keeps the X-flow device depressed to maintian water flow. Without X-Flow X-Flow is included in the 570Z XF and 570Z PRX fixed sprays. 11 Valves Helping You Handle the Pressure Toro is committed to offering you quality products designed and tested for the professional contractor. Micro or “drip” irrigation systems distribute water slowly and accurately. That greatly reduces water loss from wind or evaporation, and minimizes moisture wasted on weeds, unplanted areas or runoff. Toro leads the residential and commercial markets in micro-irrigation technology. Innovations include pressure-compensating and self-cleaning emitters, and those with built-in herbicide. As water gets more scarce, micro-irrigation will continue to get more popular. DL2000® Subsurface Micro-Irrigation with ROOTGUARD® The Toro DL2000 system delivers water to plant roots through underground in-line tubing with regularly spaced, pressure-compensating emitters. Better yet, DL2000 features ROOTGUARD: a patented manufacturing process that impregnates the emitters with Treflan® herbicide. ROOTGUARD provides a safe, consistent chemical barrier that prevents damaging root growth, which can cause emitters to clog. • A convenient water-saving solution for narrow or odd shaped areas, medians, parking lots and shrub areas • Easy-to-install buried tubing (4-8” underground) is safe, invisible and not subject to surface damage • Choice of 12” (30cm) or 18” (45cm) emitter spacing to suit various landscape needs • Precise flow rate of 0.53 GPH (2 LPH) or 1.06 GPH (4 LPH) • Built-in, self-cleaning emitters and durable construction for minimal maintenance SURFACE APPLICATIONS Micro/Drip While the DL2000 works below ground, other Toro micro/drip irrigation systems effectively deliver water to plants at the surface. Toro provides a variety of emitters to meet a wide range of landscape needs. NGE® Emitters These Toro New Generation Emitters represent ultimate efficiency, accuracy and conservation. They are pressure-compensating to consistently assure uniform water application regardless of inlet pressure. That’s especially helpful for narrow situations or hills where pressure differences would otherwise affect output. • Built-in automatic flush cycle at shutdown to protect against clogging • Anti-siphoning feature to prevent back siphoning or debris contamination • Barbed emitter option inlet allows quick, easy installation and placement • Ideal for landscaping where topography and conservation are issues • Available in 3 color-coded flow rates of 0.5, 1.0, or 2.0 GPH and coefficient variation < 3% Turbo SC® Plus Emitters Irrigation contractors who prefer a pressure compensating emitter that’s easy to inspect and clean will enjoy the convenience of Toro’s Turbo SC Plus Series. Like the NGE, the Turbo SC Plus provides predictable, uniform micro irrigation on steep or undulating landscapes where water pressure is inconsistent. • Turbo SC Plus emitters with take-apart design offer fast, easy, on-site cleaning or diaphragm replacement • Male adapter with bug shield and outlet baffle prevents insect entry • Large self-flushing, turbulent flow path resists clogging • Color-coded for easier identification with flow rates of 0.5, 1.0 or 2.0 GPH E-2® and Turbo-Key® II Classic™ Emitters Serving as the industry standard for over 20 years, these emitters are best suited for flatter terrain. The non-pressure compensating E-2 and Turbo-Key models feature proven hydraulic designs and take-apart features for easy cleaning and field inspection. The most economical choice when pressure isn’t a factor. • Take-apart design offers fast, simple on-site maintenance • Barbed inlets for easy, direct installation of emitters • Large flow path for higher resistance to clogging • Variety of flow rates to choose from and color-coded for easy identification Snap-Jet II This versatile, low-maintenance accessory comes in handy when a micro irrigation landscaping project includes certain trees or shrubs requiring extra water.
