We have priced this trip package based on a EURO to DOLLAR conversion rate of $1.20-$1.25/EURO (which is extremely low from a historical perspective). If the EURO to DOLLAR conversion goes above $1.25/EURO at the time you make your final payment, we will charge the difference computed at $20/penny above $1.25/EURO. EXAMPLE: If the EURO to DOLLAR spot conversion rate is $1.35/EURO which is 10 cents above the $1.25 rate (a $1.35-$1.40/EURO rate is much more in line with history) at the time you make your final payment, the charge will be an additional $200 ($20x10=$200). Upon arrival at Florence airport please proceed through the Passport Control and collect your luggage inside the customs area. Day 2: Fri, Sep 25, 2015: Florence Breakfast at the Hotel. Your private guide will meet you at the hotel lobby for your private walking tour of the city. Florence's rich past as the cultural centre of the Italian Renaissance can still be seen today in the wealth of art gathered here and in the preservation of its splendid architecture. This morning depart to visit Lucca and Pisa, undoubtedly among the richest cities in the world for their architecture and history: they are mandatory destinations for those who want to go deep inside Tuscany and its artistic background. In Pisa, meet your personal guide in the incredible Piazza dei Miracoli: here you can admire the baptistery and the famous Leaning Tower, together with a guided visit in the majestic Cathedral. After you will have some free time to do shopping or have a cappuccino before the departure for Lucca. In Lucca, famous for its still intact walls with huge gates and ramparts, your Tour Guide will lead you to the enchanting old town centre walking along a section of the walls and enjoying a breathtaking view over the rooftops. Today visit San Gimignano, a splendid example of medieval town declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. San Gimignano, a charming Tuscan hill-top town, famous all over the world for the skyline of its medieval tower, rich in history, ancient traditions, delightful wine and food. Lunch at leisure. Continue to Siena for an afternoon Guided Tour. Siena, probably Italy's loveliest medieval city. Siena's heart is Il Campo or Campo's square, where the famous horse race Il Palio, that takes place two times each summer. The town offer magnificent masterpieces and incredible views. Siena is the embodiment of a medieval city. Late afternoon return to your hotel in Chianti. Day 05: Mon, Sep 28, 2015: Pienza and Montepulciano Breakfast at the Hotel. Today, you will travel on one of Tuscany's panoramic roads, passing through the characteristic clay hills known as the Crete Senesi. Arrive first in the beautiful town of Pienza, which was entirely planned out by Pope Pius II, the humanist pope, to be the ideal Renaissance town. Pienza is rightly considered the gem of the Val d’Orcia region; the town and the entire Val d’Orcia are World Heritage Sites. You'll have time to spend at leisure here, so make the most of it by shopping or exploring the pretty alleyways of this small town at your leisure. As you leave Pienza, enjoy the fantastic views of Tuscany’s famous picture-perfect scenery. Lunch at leisure. In the afternoon, travel to Montepulciano, one of Tuscany’s biggest hill towns, located on a steep hill overlooking the amazing landscape of the Tuscany-Umbria border. Take a short walk around town to see the Piazza Grande at the top of the hill. You’ll then have free time to visit the town’s many stores, palaces or churches. Late afternoon transfer to your Hotel in Chianti. Day 06:Tue, Sep 29, 2015: Oil cheese and wine in Impruneta and Chianti Breakfast at the hotel. This excursion begins in the heart of the Tuscan oil kingdom - the hills around Impruneta, were we’ll visit the Torrerossa oil farm. Here the olives are still collected by hand with the help of wood ladders leaning against the olive branches. Torrerossa still owns an old oil press, the oil is stored in antique enormous terracotta jars manufactured in Impruneta. On S.Casciano hills, in the Chianti DOCG production area, we found the Corzano e Paterno winery and cheese farm, specialized in the production of cheeses with traditional methods, using the milk from the farm’s sheep. You will also taste their excellent wines. Late afternoon continue to your hotel in the Tuscan Countryside. Day 07: Wed, Set 30, 2015: Tuscany - Pompeii - Sorrento After breakfast at the Hotel, Transfer from to Sorrento with 2 hrs stop in Pompeii. On August 24th, 79 AD, the explosion of Mount Vesuvius, an explosion of lava, ash, gas, pumice and lapillus that destroyed everything in Pompeii, and then it has been buried for more than 1000 years. Late afternoon transfer to Sorrento. Overnight in Sorrento. Day 08: Thu, Oct 01, 2015: Capri Island Breakfast at the Hotel. Today, visit of Capri with guide. Capri is an enchanting and picturesque island made of limestone rock. A favorite with Roman emperors, the rich and famous, artists, and writers, it’s still one of the Mediterranean’s must-see places. Since the second half of the 19th century, Capri has gradually become one of the most popular resorts in southern Italy, famous for its magnificent scenery and the mild climate. Late afternoon return to Sorrento. Overnight in Sorrento. Day 09: Fri, Oct 02, 2015: Amalfi Coast Breakfast at the Hotel. Today enjoy the visit of one of the most intriguing coastline in the world: The Amalfi Coast. The small houses all huddling on top of each other, the breathtaking cliffs, the lemon and olive trees, the small beaches, the Saracen watch towers, the narrow roads make of this place a unique in the world, so precious to be listed in the Unesco World Heritage. Late afternoon return to Sorrento. Day 10: Sat, Oct 03, 2015: Sorrento Breakfast at the Hotel. Today spend the day at leisure. Sorrento is an ideal location to discover the beauties of the region. The town offers a fantastic view over the Bay of Naples. For 2000 years visitors from all over the world have been attracted to Sorrento by breathtaking sunsets and fragrances of orange and lemon gardens. Notable landmarks in town include the frequently rebuilt cathedral, the 14th-century cloister of St. Francis of Assisi, and the Correale di Terranova Museum. Long popular as a resort for its climate and scenic location, Sorrento is also noted for wine, olive oil, and citrus fruit. Overnight in Sorrento.
