Dear Friends,
I have the great pleasure to welcome you to the 23th Annual Spring
Fes val sponsored by Holy Face Church in Great Mills, Maryland.
Thank you for coming. I hope you will enjoy your me at the Spring
Fes val. Our a)rac ons and entertainment include shows, carnival
rides, food vendors, games, local cra*ers, face pain ng, hay ride,
silent auc on, indoor yard sale, and many other enjoyable ac vi es.
You will find something for everyone in the family.
With gra tude I would like to acknowledge the hard work and
dedica on of our parish staff, fes val commi)ee and volunteers.
Under the direc on of Mark Beckman, they have been diligently
preparing this fes val for almost a year. They wanted to make sure
that it would be a great success. I cannot thank each one of them
enough for sharing their talents and me. Seeing our local
community coming together in the spirit of brotherhood and joy is a
great reward to their hard work.
The Holy Face parish is grateful to the St. Mary’s County Fair
Associa on staff and Associa on President, John Richards, for the
support he and his staff have given us for over two decades. We
thank everyone involved for their coopera on and dedica on to
help make our event successful. We especially thank the cra*ers,
vendors, entertainers, and the legion of people in our community
who come out to rally and support our Spring Fes val.
I wish you and your families a blessed and safe me on the
Fairground. Please, tell your friends what a great me

Come by the Flower Sales located conveniently at the pavilion and the
front gate. Choose from beau ful hanging baskets or flats available all
weekend! They are always beau ful and in bloom. We have Vinca, Begonia, Impa ens, Red Salvia, Marigolds, Petunias and other annual favorites to plant inside or outside.
The baskets can be found hanging around the pavilion for your viewing
pleasure. You will see Geraniums, Petunias, Verbena, Portulaca, Fuchsia, to name just a few.

About Those Who Benefit
From Your Support Of The Spring Festival…
Hospice is a special concept of care designed to provide
comfort and support to pa ents and their families when a lifelimi ng illness no longer responds to cure-oriented
treatments. Using their specialized knowledge of medical
care, Hospice staff and volunteers work to address all
symptoms of a disease, with a special emphasis on controlling
the pa ent’s pain and discomfort. Hospice deals with the
emo onal, social, and spiritual impact of the disease on the
pa ent and the pa ent’s family and friends. The goal of
Hospice care is to improve the quality of the pa ent’s last days
by offering comfort and dignity. Hospice offers a variety of
bereavement and counselling services to families before and
a*er a pa ent’s death.
H.O.P.E. (Helpers Overcoming Problems Effec vely) works as a bridge
between the needy of Southern Maryland and those churches
and people who want to help them. H.O.P.E. provides a
telephone hotline for people reques ng emergency assistance
with needs of food, fuel, rent, electricity, prescrip ons, and
more. H.O.P.E organizes a delivery of food to needy families
at Thanksgiving and Christmas. They also coordinate referrals
to other community organiza ons for toys at Christmas.
Care-Net Pregnancy Center of Southern Maryland is a Chris anprincipled, non-poli cal, non-profit organiza on designed to
encourage and promote full term pregnancies. Care Net
services are especially directed toward women and men going
through a pregnancy at a difficult me in their lives. The CareNet Pregnancy Center offers free pregnancy tes ng, peer
counseling, educa on, clothing, baby supplies, abs nence
training, and limited ultrasound services. The Care-Net
Pregnancy Center is a place of confiden ality and care where
abor on alterna ves and suppor ve help are offered. For
informa on, please call the Center at 301-737-4604.
