How To Ensure Smooth PC Activity

Steps to Determine and Isolate PC Lockup Issues:
1. Go to www.yahoo.com, www.msn.com or www.google.com to see how
responsive these sites are.
2. Log in to OEConnection products to see how responsive the site is.
3. Repeat steps 1 & 2 on other PCs to determine if 1 or more PCs are having
the lockup problem.
4. Determine if OEConnection's site is responding differently than sites in step 1.
5. If all sites are responding the same – your PC, network or Internet connection
may need a health check.
6. If the sites are responding differently, your dealership's proxy server and/or
content filter may be caching (trying to access previously stored information)
or blocking incorrectly. Here's what can help alleviate these problems.
7. Regarding Proxy Servers:
a. Configure your proxy to not cache login.OEConnection.com. OR
b. Allow your dealership's PCs to bypass (go around) the proxy when they
connect to login.OEConnection.com. Do set proxy so PCs can go through
the proxy for other websites.
8. Regarding Content Filters:
a. Configure content filter to not block (whitelist) items from
