Welcome to the Assistance League® of Tustin!
Since 1963, Tustin Assisteens have served their community by allowing teens in 8th through 12th grade
the opportunity to work with disadvantaged & disabled families and children in their own neighborhood.
Assisteens offers students many opportunities for leadership and self-development. Our member teens are able to
run their own organization with adult mentor support. While Assisteens is a teen-run organization, it takes adult
member participation to help things run. We are required to:



Have a 10:1 child/adult ratio at all Assisteen events.
Have an adult member of ALT at all Assisteen events.
Have at least one adult member of ALT working during every Assisteen Thrift Shop Shift.
In order to continue providing the appropriate level of adult support for the 2014-2015 Assisteen year, we need
as many Assisteen parents as possible to join Assistance League of Tustin (ALT) as adult members.
There are three different membership options for parents, depending upon your interest and time availability:
 Chapter (Meets one morning a month - daytime philanthropies - varying Thrift Shop shifts)
 WCA (Meets one evening a month - evening/weekend philanthropies - varying Thrift Shop shifts)
 AALHOT (One meeting per year - focus is the support of the Assisteen auxiliary)
Adult Membership information is listed below
All three options fulfill the membership requirement necessary for supervision of Assisteen events.
Together, all members of Assistance League, adults and teens, work to improve life for residents
of our community. Thank you for considering adult membership in the Assistance League ® of Tustin!
