NCHRP-350:
As required by the Federal Highway Administration (FWHA),
work zone traffic control devices must be crashworthy and
qualify as such according to the testing and acceptance guidelines of the National Cooperative Highway Research Program
Report 350 (NCHRP-350).
ANSI-ISEA 107-1999 STANDARD:
This standard focuses on the many workers that
are regularly faced with the hazards of low visibility while on the job. Three conspicuity classes of
garments have been defined by the standard,
each based on the wearer’s activities and working
environment. See abbreviated definitions below.
Class 1 - Environments where traffic does not
exceed 25 mph, worker has full attention to
approaching traffic, environment is less complex.
Class 2 - Inclement weather conditions require
greater visibility, complex background is present,
worker’s attention is diverted from approaching
traffic and performs tasks near vehicle traffic
exceeding 25 mph.
Class 3 - High task loads are performed where
traffic exceeds 50 mph, and worker must be
easily identifiable as a person throughout a
full range of body motions.

HUNTSMAN® brand welding filters deliver dependable, uncompromising eye protection. ADF
(Auto Darkening Filters) are the most advanced electronic lenses available.
You may choose from two battery operated ADFs that react to an arc in 1/10,000 of a
second and provide variable shade, sensitivity control, variable dark-to-light delay and a
low battery indicator.
HUNTSMAN’s other option is SOLERA™, an energy efficient electronic lens that is powered
by light (the brightness of the sun) and even the arc as you weld.
By enhancing worker efficiency and safety, and reducing the risk of neck strain and
injury, auto darkening filters can actually improve the quality of the weld. ADFs allow the
welder to see where they are positioned before
striking an arc, and the need to “nod” down the helmet is eliminated.

Huntsman® warrants all products to be free from defects
in material and workmanship. Huntsman‘s sole obligation under this warranty shall be at our option, to repair,
replace, or refund the purchase price for any product or
portion thereof determined by Huntsman® to be defective. Warranty claims must be made in writing to the
company within one (1) year after receipt of product.
Huntsman® will replace any auto darkening lens not covered by warranty within three (3) years of purchase for a
flat fee (price subject to change without notice). Proof
of purchase is required to establish warranty date and
must include serial number inside the battery

800/558-4582. Huntsman® shall not be responsible for
any indirect or consequential damages arising out of use
of any product. This warranty is void on any product that
has been tampered with, misused, abused, improperly

implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for any

1.Welding helmets provide protection for the eyes and face
against injurious rays, sparks and spatter from welding
and cutting, and weld slag removal. Welding helmets do
not afford protection for exposed areas of the head, neck
or ears, and the user should take added precautions to
protect any such exposed areas. Proper shading of
impact resistant filter lens and safety plates must always
be used.
2.Welding helmets, including face plates, are not unbreakable. They will not protect against severe impact hazards
such as, but not limited to, fragmenting grinding wheels
or abrasive discs, explosive devices, corrosive liquids, or
molten metal. Machine guards, eye conforming splash
protection, or other suitable means must be used where
these hazards exist.
3.Impact resistant eye protection (safety spectacles or
goggles) must be worn at all times when using these
helmets. Pitted or scratched face plates reduce vision
and seriously reduce impact protection — replace immediately.

4.Failure to use only Huntsman designed, produced and
tested components, attachments, and replacement parts
can adversely affect product performance resulting in
serious injury. Installing generic parts or components
voids all SEI and ANSI certifications, all guarantees and
warranties, and makes the installer solely liable for the
consequences.
5.Inspect frequently and immediately replace worn or
damaged parts.
6.Clean only with mild soap and lukewarm water.
