Manchester Central is our home for another
weekend of ink, entertainment and other
shenanigans!
Being ten years in the making, this event
has had a strong footing in the UK tattooing
calendar for many years now.
The Manchester International Tattoo
Show plays host to a collection of tattoo
artists at the very pinnacle of their careers,
travelling to you from the world over to
make their mark on your skin. Their work
is second to none, and we are delighted
to have them with us. And with tattooing
styles spanning the entire spectrum, you
really are spoilt for choice! Many artists are
working on a first-come, first-served basis
so you have the extraordinary opportunity
to get the best ink available, right here, this
weekend. Among these are Galen McHatton
and Marvin Silva from the USA, Harry
Morgan of Australia, Ricky Wright of South
Africa, Kobay of Turkey and so many more.
Make sure you take time to see all of our
wonderful artists, some of them making
their UK convention debut.
This show reflects the UK’s true passion
for fantastic ink along with some great
entertainment, from live music to dance,
striking body art and more!
So… what’s happening? Over the course
of the weekend we have the Manchester
Tattoo Show awards. And with such great
artists creating tattoos all weekend, there
promises to be some incredible entries for
our 12 trophies – Check out page 21 for
more information and how to enter. We
have exquisite aerial performances from
Sian and Looci and Dark Arts taking place
over our main stage – with some incredible
routines. Also joining the party are the
SickWithIt Crew with their amazing street

creating some incredible Mehndi Henna

her team are incredibly talented, so maybe

Sam Draisey
Sam is a 23-year-old singer/ songwriter from
Wolverhampton. Sam’s music might best be
described as ‘acoustic folk-pop’, with particular
attention paid to the story-telling qualities of his
songs. His notable influences include Frank Turner,
Damien Rice, Jack Johnson and Cat Stevens. A
fantastically gifted singer – make sure you catch
him! Timings on page 19.
Artisfiction
Artisfiction are a fourpiece alternative rock/
metal band from North
Wales. Influenced by many
artists from a wide selection of genres, they blend
different inflections of everything that turns
them on to produce something that is original
and honest. Two members of the band will be
playing a live acoustic set here at The Manchester
International Tattoo Show; it’s going to be
awesome! Timings on page 19.
SickWithIt Dance Crew
Performing live street and break dance on the
main stage throughout the weekend, this team
will wow you with their great

Jemma Krysa
Jemma is an acoustic folk singer-songwriter from
South Wales. Her unique voice has a captivating
velvet warmth, and together with her emotive lyrics
and beautiful rhythmic melodies, Jemma is proving
a big hit on the musical circuit and is definitely one
to watch out for.

whilst studying at circus
school, both quickly
developing a huge
passion for the aerial
arts after a lifelong
love of all things circus.
Whilst they’ve not yet
achieved the ultimate
dream of actually
running away with
a big top(!)… they’re
bringing some three-ring
entertainment to Manchester International Tattoo
Show on Saturday, August 4.
Sian is co-owner of Manchester’s only circus
training space – The Circus House – regularly
teaching aerial and circus skills classes, as well as
performing cabaret throughout the UK.
Looci is a member of the Steelcats, a Leeds-based
fire & circus entertainment troupe, bringing her
skills to varying events around the country. And we
are delighted to have them both here for the show!

Every great show should end in a great party,
and the 11th Manchester International Tattoo
Show will be no exception!

as our aftershow party venue of choice! In the
heart of Manchester and just two minutes walk
from the show the Fusion Bar will be the last
stop for the weekend's activities!

Beyond The State
Here to to delight the Manchester International
Tattoo Show crowds with a rarely seen acoustic set.
This band has been likened with an “edgier McFly
with a hint of Green Day and Clash swagger!”
Ex Kerrang DJ and promoter Emma Scott said:
“They are amazeballs with killer, radio-friendly
songs and totally blew me away.”
They have enjoyed recent radio play on Jen Long’s
BBC Radio One introducing show, Calon FM and
Tudno FM. JJ Haggar from Calon FM has tipped them
to be “the next big band from Wales”.

designs, it’s a culture she has indulged in and a skill
she has perfected since childhood.
With a great many years experience, Mehndi by
Nayab focuses on creating spectacular henna designs
on you, be it traditional, contemporary or something

tattoo competitions
On both Saturday and Sunday there will be tattoo competitions to enter,
which will be judged on the main stage. All winning tattoo artists will
walk away with a fantastic Manchester Tattoo Show award, and every tattoo
owner, an official certificate to take pride of place on their bedroom wall!
To be in with a chance of entering be sure to register by 3pm on each
day (registration forms can be obtained
from the information stand opposite the main stage).
Judging will take place at 6pm on Saturday with prize-giving at 9pm.
Best of Saturday will be judged at 8:30pm.
Sunday judging is at 4:30pm with the prize-giving at 5:30pm.
Best of Sunday will be judged at 6:00pm
(Best of Day tattoos MUST be finished by 8.30pm on Saturday
and 6:00pm on Sunday)

Registration forms to be found at the information stand in the Skin Deep Lounge.
All tattoos can only be entered into one category.
Only tattoos worked at The Manchester International Tattoo Show can be entered into the Best of Day categories.
The winners from both days will be entered into the Best of Convention category on Sunday.
No tattoo studio/artist’s T-shirts to be worn in front of the judges.
Judges will not be made aware of any artist’s studio or identity.
Judging will take place on the main stage.
The judges’ decisions are final. Judging times are subject to change.
