Despite its 'last frontier' reputation, Palawan is easily
accessible from Manila and a few other parts of the
Philippines. Indeed, with enough planning and good
timing, you might even be able to arrive in Manila,
change planes, and arrive at your destination in
Palawan the same day (flights to Palawan from Manila
take just over an hour). More likely, you could fly into
Manila, spend a night in the city, then hop on a plane
or boat to Palawan the following day. Either way, the
delights of Palawan are within easy reach of the

Underground River
This is the mandatory Underground River Tour. Paddle-boat your way
around the a part of the world's longest navigable river located at the
Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park. The park is a
UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site and has been recognized for
best practices for biodiversity conservation and sustainable tourism. It
is composed of a lush tropical forest, white sand beaches and
interesting wildlife. It is also selected for the New Seven Wonders of
Nature. Lunch is buffet style at a nearby resort/stopover. Sabang

Go on the Honda Bay Island Hopping Tour
Honda Bay is one of the many eco-attractions in Puerto Princesa. The
bay shows the rich marine life of Palawan. You will see hundreds of
species of fish and beautiful corals. The Sta. Lourdes wharf, which is
the drop off point for a Honda Bay tour, is just 15 to 20 minutes away
from the city proper. A tour includes 3 to 5 stops. Depending on the
itinerary prepared by your licensed tour guide, you may visit Pandan
Island, LuLi Island, Pambato Reef, Starfish Island and Cowrie Island.
This is a marine sanctuary where you will see giant clams, different
types of corals and thousands of fishes. On your Honda Bay tour,

Firefly Watching
Taking place just before dusk, this tour allows you to get closer
to nature and, in particular, the dazzling and flickering insects
known as "Fireflies" or "Lighting Bugs". Fireflies live in amongst

the Sicsican and Iwahig Rivers. This tour will take you through a
10 meter wide stretch of the mangrove perimeter and will last
