On May 28, 2016, Louis Bender, devoted husband of Kathryn Bender (neé Dashiell);
loving father of Jeffrey (Denise) Bender and Bradley (Joyce) Bender; dear brother of
Bernie (Miriam) Bender, Sidney (Marilyn) Bender and the late Nettie Petrofsky;
beloved son of the late Ruben and Anna Bender; cherished grandfather of Ethan,
Avery, Kelsey, Sean, Colin, Patrick and Finnian Bender.
Services at SOL LEVINSON & BROS., INC., 8900 Reisterstown Road, at Mount Wilson
Lane on Monday, May 30, at 11 am. Interment to take place on Thursday, June 2 at
3pm, at Meadowridge Memorial Park - Elkridge, MD.
Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to The American Legion,
1608 K St. N.W., Washington, DC 20006.

he was always so good natured and lovely. just received the

so sorry to hear about the loss of your wonderful father. I am so glad we got to see him in
Feburary, he was always one of the kindest and funniest of people. I just received the
message today (from Robin), please know my thoughts are with all of his
loved ones.

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of my Great Uncle Lou! He was the most fun adult
for us kids to be around and even as we grew up, he never lost his sense of playfulness
with us! I remember a photo from my Bat Mitzvah of all of the kids in the pool and the big
kid in back was Uncle Lou! I will miss him very much and send my love and condolences
to you all.
