Some of the most dramatic changes in the valley are happening at the mouth of the Ouseburn where the newly constructed barrage will maintain a high water level in the burn at all times, while still allowing passage of small boats to and from their moorings and slipway on Lime Street. We will hear of the historical development of the mouth of the Ouseburn and, of course, the purpose and construction of the barrage.
