President Message
Message from the President of SEMEX
SHARP Electronica Mexico, S.A. de C.V., is a competitive company
committed to its customers as well as with the environment that
surrounds it, which is why the activities for its conservation are critical
to our corporation and committed with its community, with whom we
share 18 years of work together.
We are committed to our Green Mission to society by raising awareness
to our employees and their families to care for our environment through
activities such as Clean Beaches on the beautiful beaches of Rosarito,
Baja California, the day of the Biodiversity, the Earth Day and Solar
Academy programs, where our future generations participate and get
involved.
Our continued support and commitment to reduce the generation of
waste water, electricity, gas consumption and the C02, are part of our
environmental policy and to create a greener consciousness and thus
maintain our company at the levels of Super Green Factory complying
with the legal requirements.
I am convinced that raising awareness in ourselves, in our employees and
our society are a “granito de arena“, which is a Mexican expression,

SEMEX is a company committed to the environment and processes, procedures
and practices is certified since 2003 and for this year 2015 was recertified in
ISO 14001.

Earth Day & Children’s Day
April 26th 2014
SHARP Electronica Mexico S.A. de C.V. (SEMEX) in Baja California held an
event to commemorate Earth Day on April 26th, 2014.
Earth day is a day for considering the global environment and take
action. In the event, 120 kids from 6 years old to 12 years old were
invited, and also celebrated for Children’s Day on the occasion.
In the workshop for considering the preservation of the global
environment, those children enjoyed practicing their artistry on PET
bottles. Designing and painting on PET bottles, which they usually throw
away without giving much thought, and taking them home as
decorations gave them a chance to think about recycling and reusing.
SEMEX will continue to work on activities to communicate the
importance of the global environment and resources in the future.

Biodiversity
May 31 2014
On May 31st, 2014 celebrated the
day of Biodiversity in SEMEX
facilities, attended by employees
and their families.
During the event there was kite
contest, they were built with
recycled material. The children
explained the material used in their
kite.
In the Biodiversity’s event there
was, T-Shirts, raffles, gifts, food,
music and plants that were given to
employees in order to raise
awareness of the environment.

Activities
K-SAR – Canine Rescue
November 30th 2014
As part of continuous improvement SEMEX
participated in the event K-SAR Search and
Canine Rescue from Red Cross, the benefit
was get food to dogs of Red Cross.
SHARP employees attended the event which
impart a conference on the care of dogs, giving
a demonstration of the training we have in
Rosarito SHARP vigilant with our dogs. The
dogs of K-SAR performed a demonstration
too.
By the environmental department of SHARP
we announced our commitment to the animals
and the environment. We give information
about our activities as a corporate citizen and
some souvenirs from SHARP.
This event was on November 30th, 2014

Beach Clean up Day
October 4th 2014
On October 4th, 2014 SHARP Electronica
Mexico S.A. de C.V. organized an annual cleanup
event at a local beach in Rosarito, Baja
California.
The event gathered a total of 238 participants
including SEMEX employees, their families, and
local residents.
They wore matching event T-shirts and walked
about 2.5 km along the beach, picking up litter.
After cleaning, they painted drum cans and
placed them on the beach for use as waste
containers.

Family Day
November 1st 2014
SHARP –SEMEX organizes the Family Day on
November 1st of 2014 on the PEMEX sport
area. We received a total of 513 attendees.
At this event the families of the employees
assist to participate in may activities like:
• A softball and soccer tournament.
• Many games.
• Food, prizes and more activities for they
family, and most important a lot of fun!!!
Family SHARP make the difference.

Solar Academy
July 19th 2014
On July 19th, 2014, SHARP Electronica Mexico
S.A. de C.V. (SEMEX), invited the children of
employees to Solar Academy classes.
The participants learnt the system of solar cell
modules and the importance of clean energy.
They also experienced how hard it was to
generate electricity by turning the handle of a
hand-held device in the experiment.
They spent a day full of experience.
SEMEX will continue to promote the Solar
Academy in the future
