Charis Bible College Dallas
Meet the Director
Kitty Potts’ first experience with Andrew Wommack Ministries
(AWM) occurred in November 2001. After being a lay minister for several
years, Kitty sensed that God was calling her to move from Dallas, Texas,
to Colorado to attend Charis Bible College (CBC). Kitty obeyed and left
Dallas to begin classes the Autumn semester of 2002.
“While at Charis, I received a revelation of my identity in Christ and
how much God desired a very intimate relationship with me,” explains
Kitty. After completing her first year at the school, she accepted a position
with AWM, serving as a supervisor in the Phone Center.
Kitty describes her time at Charis as “glorious,” but soon, that time
would come to an end. Kitty graduated from CBC Colorado in 2004, and
at the Holy’s Spirit’s direction, she returned to Texas. Kitty remembers, “It
was hard to leave CBC, but I knew I had to obey God.”
God had a surprise in store for Kitty: “I had no idea that after I
completed my time in school, the Lord would give me a vision for a CBC
Kitty Potts
in Dallas, Texas.” Before that vision became reality, however, Kitty went
to work as an assistant chaplain for a ministry in Dallas that helped women who were transitioning from
prison back into the community. “One of my responsibilities was to disciple the women as well as to train
them in practical ways for their everyday lives outside of prison,” remembers Kitty.
Soon after that, in 2006, Kitty began working at CBC Dallas where God has since promoted her to
director. “This has been and still is a very blessed and exciting adventure and journey the Lord has me on,”
says Kitty. “My life continues to be changed daily. I am very blessed to see the students’ lives here in Dallas
being transformed as they renew their minds with the Word of God.”
As of this writing, CBC Dallas is celebrating its seventh year anniversary.

Reaching the Forgotten
Early in 2012, Jeff Trojacek, a second-year CBC Dallas student boldly prayed, “Lord, I want to
understand things the way John G. Lake understood them. Please teach me.” In response to this prayer,
God told Jeff that if he truly desired such understanding, he needed to begin doing the works that John G.
Lake did, such as healing the sick.
Immediately, Jeff started thinking of places where he could lay hands
on sick people. Thoughts of hospitals and nursing home facilities entered his
mind. He acted on those thoughts and went to visit his aunt at a nursing home
in Ennis, Texas. Soon he was visiting two to four times a week. “Every time I
went,” says Jeff, “I laid hands on her, rebuked the evil one, and spoke life and
healing to her mind and body.”
Whenever Jeff signed in to visit, he’d glance at the register to see who was
visiting whom. He realised he knew several people who were there either for
rehab or who lived there as permanent residents. This prompted him to visit
and pray for them as well. After several months of visiting, Jeff began making
friends with many of the residents and staff.
“One day I asked a resident if anyone was coming to the facility to provide
ministry. I found out that there was only one person who came once a month
to hold a service and a Catholic priest who would occasionally visit.” When Jeff
asked the same question of an administrator, she confirmed what the resident
had said, adding, “Many churches had promised to start coming, but so far,
none have been by.”

Saddened by this news, Jeff asked if the nursing home would still be open to someone coming in to
minister to the people. She said, “Absolutely!” A couple of days later, Jeff came back with a plan of action.
“I told the administrator that I desired to launch a full-blown church right in the facility – with the
residents, the staff, and their families as the primary ministry – but that I also wanted the church to be
open to the community. The administrator was completely onboard and asked if she could run some
adverts to get the word out.”
In a short time, outside visitors began coming to the church. Jeff drew on the biblical truths that he had
learned at CBC to minister the Word and healing to the people each Saturday night. Jeff ’s wife, daughters,
and mother-in-law also became involved in various facets of the church, as well as several others who have
offered to help out with praise and worship.
It wasn’t long before Jeff began to see God’s Word take root in the people’s lives. One day an eightyfive-year-old woman proclaimed, “I have lived my whole life and until now have never understood the
grace that God has so freely supplied to us. I have never seen anything like it!”
Not only are people receiving for themselves, but they are also growing as disciples – taking the truths
they’ve learned and ministering to others. “I laid hands on a resident who had been very sick and couldn’t
sleep,” explains Jeff. “A couple of days after I prayed, she told me she started sleeping again and was feeling
much better. A few days later, she came back to tell me how she prayed for someone who had the same
symptoms she had. She told me, ‘I just laid hands on him like you did me, and he came back later and said
that he was healed from the time I had laid hands on him.’”

“When I see what’s happening here at Legend Oaks, I wonder how many similar facilities there are all
around the world,” says Jeff. “If you’re looking for ministry, you don’t have to look very hard to find it!”
Jeff asks that he, his family, and the people of Legend Oaks Healthcare in Ennis, Texas, be kept in our
prayers. “I have a huge vision of people walking out of Legend Oaks healed and whole, knowing the power
of God that lives within each of them as believers,” says Jeff. It looks like he is well on his way to seeing that
vision realised.
A Destiny Revealed
Fern Fooks, a third-year CBC Dallas student, credits the school and the truths of God’s Word that she
has learned there for absolutely changing her life: “CBC Dallas has played a huge role in the direction that
my life has taken – from the very first moment God put the school in front of me…to the final year,” says
Fern. “As I like to say, I was deconstructed my first year and then built back up!”
Using the principles of what she learned at CBC, Fern launched a ministry called Simply Charity in
January 2011. The ministry focuses on women who come together regularly to inspire and encourage one
another in the Lord and then reach out with that encouragement to their surrounding communities. “For me,
the best part of the ministry is being able to share what I’ve learned through CBC with the women of Simply
Charity,” says Fern. “We are growing together in God’s Word, with the intent of making disciples of others.”
The ministry is already bearing fruit as Simply Charity saw many people healed, delivered, and set free
during its first year. God has been placing people in Fern’s life to walk beside her and help grow the ministry.
“I’m so excited about this journey and am looking forward to how God is going to move. I thank you, CBC
Dallas, for helping me walk into the destiny that I know God has called me to. This is a moment in time that
I would never, ever change!”
Thank you so much for your faithfulness to support CBC World Outreach. Your gifts and prayers are
making a difference in ways that you may never fully realise until you get to heaven! But God knows and He
will honour your support of these students’ lives.
God bless you,

The message that the Lord has given Andrew has the
power to change the way the body of Christ sees God.
Thousands have already experienced tremendous change,
but there are millions who have not yet heard.
Even with the power of radio and television, Andrew
can’t do it alone. Hundreds more must be prepared to
proclaim the message. Andrew said it this way: “I firmly
believe that any ministry that is not reproducing itself
by making disciples (Matt. 28:19, New King James
Version) is failing to do what the Lord told it to do.”
Charis Bible College (CBC) is the perfect training
ground. It has become a powerful outreach as extension
schools are established around the world. The graduates
of these schools will multiply, many times over, the impact
Andrew could ever have as an individual.
Once trained, they must also be sent. That is why
Andrew has launched CBC World Outreach. This arm of
the ministry provides the funds to open and support new
extension schools. It also offers the invaluable wisdom of
seasoned ministers to encourage and help those working
on the mission field. Administrative, accounting, and other
practical services are provided.
“Many of these ministers sent out by CBC World
Outreach have left families, careers, and everything that is
familiar to them, for the sake of Christ. I believe they are
modern-day heroes. They deserve our support.”
