FOREWORD
For the first year since the inception of the Top 250 Award program, the National Association of Hispanic
Real Estate Professionals® (NAHREP®) is proud to recognize the leading Latino mortgage originators
from across the country in the inaugural Top 250 Latino Mortgage Originators Award.
NAHREP believes in recognizing hard working individuals from across the real estate industry who
support homeownership in the Latino community. The continuous success of the Top 250 Latino Agents
Award created a demand for recognition of success in other professions within the industry. The Top 250
Latino Mortgage Originators Award was conceived in 2014 to honor the positive impact mortgage
professionals have in making homeownership a reality for families across the country. The following list
recognizes mortgage originators whose hard work has led them to close an exceptional number of
mortgages in 2014. They have earned the distinction from among the nearly eight-hundred mortgage
originators nominated for the first annual award.
The group of top producers represents a total of 22,711 closed mortgages, over $5.0 billion dollars in
closed mortgages, and thirty-three different companies. Their success is a demonstration of the growing
influence of Latinos in real estate, both as a profession as well as through home buying.

METHODOLOGY
The listing of the Top 250 Latino Mortgage Originators in America is compiled through a self-nomination
process reflective of transactions closed during the 2014 calendar year. Once received, NAHREP reviews
the nomination for accuracy and when necessary seeks validation of submitted data from a director or
officer of the respective candidate’s company. To be eligible, nominees are required to submit their
personal number of closed mortgages to be ranked against other nominees. Nominations may be
disqualified or modified where third party validation is not available or consistent. In instances where
there is a tie based on number of mortgages closed, higher rank is given to originators with greater sales
volume. Ethnic background is confirmed through self-attestation.
