All programs are offered on a “first come – first served” basis via mail-in, fax, scanned email registration from this
brochure, through our website or in person at the Parks & Recreation office.
All programs operate on a self supporting basis. The Parks & Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel
classes that do not support themselves.
Checks should be made payable to: MANCHESTER PARKS & RECREATION. Registrations should be mailed to:
Manchester Parks & Recreation, 10 Central Street, Manchester, MA 01944, or dropped off in Room #7.
You can also register for programs online with a Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express at
www.manchester.ma.us/recreation and then click on the link to register for programs online or direct at mbtsrec.com.
There is a $25.00 service fee for all returned checks.
Non-residents are allowed to sign up for any Recreation Department program.
If schools are closed due to inclement weather, then all recreation programs for that day are also cancelled. On
weekends or in the summer months, if the weather is questionable, please call the Parks & Recreation Department
Weather Information/Cancellation Line at 978-525-6429 and the status of the activity will be posted. Generally, the
status of the program will be posted 1 hour prior to the start of the program.
Confirmation of your course will NOT be made. You will only be notified if the class is full or is cancelled due to low
enrollment. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend your class at the first meeting.
Our online registration system allows you to create a family account. By creating a family account, you will only have
to fill out your family information one time. Then for all future registrations you would simply select the appropriate
family member’s name from the drop down menu. The second benefit of creating your own family account is that you
have the ability to login to your account and see what programs you are currently registered for and if you have any
outstanding balances and pay that balance if you wish.
WITHDRAWALS
If you withdraw from a class and want your payment
refunded, you must notify the Parks & Recreation
Department at least seven business days prior to the
start of the program. You will be charged a $10.00
administrative processing fee.
If you withdraw from a program within six business days
before the start of the program, you are eligible to receive
a credit towards a future program. No credit or refund will
be given once a program begins.
SCHOLARSHIP ASSISTANCE
A confidential application can be made to the Director of
Parks & Recreation and if it is determined that a hardship
exists, the applicant may be granted a reduction in fee.
All programs operate on a self-supporting basis, which
limits the amount of available aid that we can provide,
Financial assistance is only available for programs run
directly by Parks & Recreation Department staff (such as
After School, Basketball, Tennis & Summer Playground).
Financial assistance is not available for programs where
we hire contractors to run the program.
Please call 978-526-2019 to request an application.
FEEDBACK
If you have any comments, concerns or suggestions that
might be helpful to us, please let us know! Call the Parks
& Recreation office at 978-526-2019 or email us at

IN CASE OF OOPS!
Complete details of program policies, procedures
and guidelines are sometimes omitted from the program
brochures because of space limitations. Errors in days,
times, registration requirements and fees may occur as
well. We apologize for any errors that may occur in the
brochure. Thank you for your patience and understanding
when these situations occur.
YOU SNOOZE...AND WE ALL LOSE!
While many participants are inclined to wait until the last
minute to sign-up for a program, please note that nothing
stops a program in its tracks faster than a lack of
enrollment. If the program does not reach minimum
enrollment numbers, then we must cancel the program.
All programs operate on a self-supporting basis.
To
ensure the classes and events you enjoy continue, please
remember to sign-up as early as possible.
