Arkhyz is a small village
of 600 inhabitants
located in the province
of Karachay-Cherkessia,
nestled between the Black Sea
and the Caspian Sea.
The Mount Elbrus, the highest
peak in the Caucasus
(5 642 meters), is only
70 kilometers south and Sochi,
the host resort of the 2014
Olympic Winter Games
is just a few hundred
kilometers away.
This region remains unspoiled
and wild but it’s potential
makes it a highly sought-after
destination. The choice of
terrain is fantastic : long runs,
wooded valleys, Nordmann
pines forests, descents are
long but always interesting.

at developing the ski resorts
in the Caucasus region. One
of the first station to emerge
is that of Arkhyz. To satisfy
the international visitors, the
Romantik Hotel was specially
built fitting HHHH standards.

near the airport in Moscow
starting from Geneva.
SUNDAY
Morning: Flights from Paris,

At the hotel, you can enjoy

DATCHA GORBACHEV
Hidden in the heart of old pine
trees, a stately and imposing
stone house will welcome you.
This is actually one of the
datcha (secondary residence)
owned by the first president of
the USSR Mikhail Gorbachev.
The rooms are spacious
and the decoration luxurious.
A quaint place emerges and
we can feel the spirit of the
Soviet elite in every corner…
It is located 2 km
to Arkhyz village in a big parc,
at 1455 m of altitude.
Four spacious suite,
each with its own bathroom
with the hight Soviet-style.
At the hotel, you can enjoy
as a restaurant, sauna and
billiard room.

HELICOPTERS
are Eurocopter AS350B3
Squirrel and Aerospatial SA
315B Lama, single engine
and used especially
in winching operations,
freight transportation, rescue,
special operations, and more
recently heliskiing.
The crew includes the pilot.
TheSquirrel can carry
four guests plus a guide.
The helicopters are newly
built and offer all
the necessary security
guarantees. They are
rigorously serviced and
maintained according
to the procedures of
international maintenance.
