PRYME DWS (DIGITAL WIRELESS SYSTEM)
The PRYME DWS is a wireless communications system that transmits digital voice signals in the 2.4 GHz band.
The DWS system consists of three parts: any number of portable DWS-100M Digital Wireless Microphone units,
one or more DWS-100B Base Station Units, and a two-way mobile or base station radio connected to your
existing two-way radio network.
You can setup the PRYME DWS system in any of these configurations:
* Shared Dispatch - Share one base station or mobile radio among multiple users
* Mobile Radio Extender - Send and receive radio calls from a mobile radio even when outside of the vehicle
* Gateway - Intercommunicate between DWS wireless microphone and two-way radios users
* Short-Distance Intercom - Communicate with other DWS wireless microphone users with the intercom feature

DWS-100M – ZIGBEE LOW-POWER DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM
The DWS-100M functions as a short-range, wireless, digital intercom. The user has access to all 16 DWS channels
and can operate on both a main channel and a second intercom channel at the same time. If the main channel also
has a DWS-100B base station, then the user can also intercommunicate with users on the two-way radio channel.

Clothing Clip
The large, alligator style
clothing clip can be used
to secure the microphone
to the user's lapel, collar,
shoulder epaulettes, or
other clothing.
Menu Button
The Menu Button is used
to access various settings
on the microphone and is
used in conjunction with
the Power Button to turn
the microphone off.
Down Button
Push-to-Talk Button (PTT)
This standard 3.5 mm mono
jack allows the connection of
a listen-only earphone to the
microphone. Plugging an
earphone in disables the
front-firing speaker for
enhanced privacy
Charging Cradle
The DWS-100M contains an
internal lithium ion battery
pack that must be charged
prior to operation, and must
be recharged regularly. A fully
charged battery will provide up
to 10 hrs of continuous operation
before needing to be recharged.
However, operating time can
vary depending on usage and
the condition of the battery pack.
Recharge the battery regularly.
This button is used to change
the volume level, channel, and
other microphone settings.

Calls received by the microphone
on either the main operating channel
or intercom channel will be heard
through this speaker unless an
optional wired earphone is connected
to the microphone's earphone jack.

When making a call with the
DWS-100M, the user's voice
is picked up by this internal
microphone.
OPTIONAL EAPRHONES
Although the DWS-100M has a built-in speaker for listening to received calls, some users
may prefer to use a listen-only earphone for enhanced privacy. The accessory jack on the
speaker microphone will accept any mono earphone with a 3.5 mm audio plug.
When an earphone is used, the front-firing speaker is disabled.

DWS-100M – ZIGBEE LOW-POWER DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM
When connected to a two-way radio, the DWS-100B acts as a gateway, automatically retransmitting calls
between the two-way radio and DWS channels. Any signals received by the two-way radio are retransmitted onto
the DWS channel. Similarly, any signal received on the DWS channel is retransmitted over the two-way radio.
This allows two-way radio users and DWS voice users to communicate directly with one another.

CONTROLS AND CONNECTIONS
Setup Button
Pressing and holding this button
for three seconds will cause the
DWS-100B to enter setup mode.
In this mode, the user can change
which channel the DWS-100B is
operating on and change other
configuration options as well.
TX Level Adjustment
This potentiometer adjusts
the audio level for signals
retransmitted by the DWS-100B
over the connected two-way
mobile/base station radio.
RX Level Adjustment
This potentiometer adjusts
the audio level for signals
retransmitted by the DWS-100B
over the DWS voice channel.
Comes with 2.4 GHz whip antenna
Power Switch
This switch turns on
and off the DWS-100B
Power Indicator LED
This LED will light red
whenever the DWS-100B
is powered on
TX Indicator or LED
This red LED will light when the
DWS-100B is receiving a call on
its DWS channel and the call is
being repeated onto the two-way
radio channel using the connected
mobile/base station radio.
RX Indicator LED
This green LED will flash when the
two-way radio that the DWS-100B
is connected to is receiving a call
and the radio call is being repeated
