URBIA Project Goal The goal of URBIA -­‐ the URban BIodiversity in Ac5on project – is to create a widespread consciousness about the importance of halJng and reversing the loss of biodiversity and to show how virtually everyone can par5cipate in halJng these losses. The URBIA Award The URBIA Award compeJJon in 2015 was open all projects from urban Denmark. Projects ranged from highly innovaJve ideas to pracJcal-­‐on-­‐the-­‐ground endeavours, such as rooUop gardening and urban wildlife corridors. Overall 29 projects were submi1ed from all over Denmark.
