levels and receiving the same status
as the professionals and elite
amateurs, having the proud feeling of
representing their country in an
international competition as
individuals as well as members of a
team.

Membership is open to all men and
women amateur golfers with a
USGA index of 25.4 or less.
Players are divided into five flights
based on their indexes.

World Golfers Amateur Tour events
are generally net stroke play within
each flight. Top finishers in each flight
will receive awards and non-cash
prizes not to exceed $750.00 in
order to to abide by the USGA rules
of amateur status.
WGAT Members of a local tour
are eligible to play in events in
other tours across the country.
They can play as little or as much
as they wish, locally, nationally and
when you play Internationally you
will develop friends all over the

L O C A L E V E N T S!
O N E D AY
Local Tours all over the country will have between 8 to 16 local
event, equalling hundreds of events per year giving members the
opportunity to play locally or travel to play at some the best golf
courses in the country. Each time a member plays he/she will
earn “USA National Championship Points” with the goal to finish
in the top 20 to 30 percent of the local point standing to earn an
invitation to the USA National Championship.
S E C T I O N A L M A J O R S!
T W O D AY
The WGAT will feature six two day sectional majors through out
the country at some of the best nationally recognized golf
courses. The Sectional Majors will feature their own points
system called the Team USA order of merit. The Top 5* on the
point list at the end of the season will earn spots on Team USA
and compete in the World Golfers Invitational.

The 2012 USA National Championship will be held at the Indiana
National Golf Club at Swan Lake in Plymouth Indiana, September
27th, 28th, 29th. The Five National Champions, one in each flight
will earn their spot on Team USA and travel to South Africa to
compete against 40 other countries in the World Golfers
Championship.

The 2012 World Golfers Championship will be held at one of the
most exiting world final destinations ever, the wonderful 5-star
Fairmont Zimbali Resort in Kwa-Zulu Natal in South Africa. The
region boasts thousand-year-old battlefields, unique safaris and
amazing golf courses.
