Your Support Makes Their Vocation Possible.
Your Support The Dominican Foundation’s The Dominican Friars, Province of St. Joseph have the fastest growing religious men’s vocations program in the United States, having been blessed with record numbers of vocations over the past fifteen years. The Dominican Foundation raises resources to provide for the formation of these fine young men and to make possible the mission and vision of the Friars. Today the Friars continue the 800-year legacy of Saint Dominic by carrying the light of truth onto college campuses such as Brown, Dartmouth, Johns Hopkins, Celebrating the Light of Truth NYU, Providence College and the University of Virginia. The Friars also serve in parishes, seminaries like Dunwoodie and the North American College and hospitals like Sloan Kettering and New York Presbyterian. Makes Their Vocation Possible. Currently there are over 70 men in formation preparing to bring the illumination and warmth of the teachings of Saint Thomas Aquinas into the public square to heal the anguish of our broken world. The proceeds from this dinner will benefit the Path to the Priesthood Scholarship Bene Merenti Medal Award of the Dominican Order SEAN M. They should study, they should pray, and they should preach. His Order harmonized the life of a contemplative with the activity of an evangelist. This is what we need today as well: the right pattern of formation and evangelistic witness. Not every Christian will be a Dominican, of course. But we all have something fundamental to learn from the Dominican pattern of life. — C.C.
