Charity Challenge
All aboard the PresCare Social Bus!
PresCare’s social mission is to reduce the
prevalence and effects of social isolation, and place
special emphasis on helping people retain their
independence and connection to their interests,
family, friends and the community.
PresCare believes that these charities should be
supported wherever possible, and so an adapted
vehicle with double wheelchair access and lifts has
been specifically purchased to be available for
charities and social groups.
Over the last few years PresCare has pioneered
several initiatives with the aim of keeping people
connected and involved in their community.
Whether through friendship groups and special
outings, gathering clients together and building
friendships or simply providing a vehicle to allow a
wheelchair-bound client to attend a social group
– PresCare’s aim is to encourage all clients to stay
more connected.
Whether it’s a local bridge club requiring the bus to
take a group to a special event, or a children’s
sporting team needing it for a game or a disability
support group requiring transportation for their
clients to get to appointments – all will have access
to a vehicle to do so.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters,
PresCare has been able to purchase a number
of buses to be used at PresCare facilities and
community care sites.
However, we recognise that PresCare is not the
only organisation that is seeking to work with social
isolation; there are a significant number of smaller
charities that are trying to do the same.

This year we are excited to announce that money
raised at the PresCare Woollam Constructions
Charity Golf Classic will go towards the on-going
running costs of the community bus, so that we
can provide this vehicle at no cost to these groups,
keeping people active and socially connected.
Whether you’re a golf nut or just want to do your
part to help the community, this year’s charity
challenge is the perfect excuse to round up your
mates and sign up for the PresCare Woollam
Constructions Charity Golf Classic.
