Live Radio on Rdio
Live broadcast radio is now a part of the Rdio experience.
Rdio now features live broadcast radio,
beginning with Cumulus’ 500 stations in the U.S.
Thanks for taking time to review Rdio’s new features that support live broadcast radio.
Users will now be able to listen to broadcast radio stations alongside Rdio’s popular
curated and algorithmic station offerings.
This guide will give you an overview of Rdio’s new live radio features.
Discover 500 live stations. Quickly find any of Cumulus’ 500 stations by searching by the
station name, location, call letters, or frequency.
Playback experience. While listening to a live radio station, the player shows the currently
playing song and artwork. From here, you can favorite songs, add them to playlists, or
share them with friends.
Station page. A dedicated page for every live station where listeners can play, favorite,
and share that station. They'll also discover related stations and DJs associated with this
station. They can even see the songs recently played.
Station profile. Live stations and DJs will be given a dedicated profile on Rdio where they
can feature their primary station as well as supplementary on-demand content or curated
stations they create. Listeners can follow these stations and DJs to see what they’re
playing on Rdio, discover new content, and more.
New Home stories. Live stations in a listener’s area and recommended content from the
live stations they’ve been playing will now be featured in Home.
Live radio directory. We’ve added a new “Live Radio” category within our Stations
section that features live radio in a user’s area as well as popular nationwide stations.
