Through our progressive, forward-thinking, planning, and design process, we provide superior quality, responsible, and environmentally friendly design solutions for a range of projects. All aspects of our business are centered on building responsive relationships with our clients. Meyer Group fills a special niche in the architectural community. Founded by Timothy Meyer, AIA, CID, LEED AP, our business has grown from his vast experience in government, commercial, educational, and tribal architecture. The foundation of Meyer Group is our unparalleled level of commitment to our clients and a deep sense of investment in each project we undertake. With a talented, seasoned, and enthusiastic staff, we extend a unique brand of design to meet the needs of each of our clients. Our work does not end when we sign off on drawings, or even when the last coat of paint is applied to the inside of a sparkling new building; we provide resources to clients that extend beyond design and architecture. Meyer Group prides ourselves in creating relationships with each of our clients with the respect and responsiveness they give us. When we partner with a client we create a lasting relationship rooted in our tenets of responsiveness and respect. The importance of respecting our clients is paralleled by our efforts to create designs that also respect the environment. We incorporate the use of rapidly renewable and recycled materials to create value-added designs. We strive to make sure that our work is friendly to the natural environment we build on. This emphasis is critical in our efforts to exercise responsibility toward our clients and communities. HOUSING BROCHURE 2 MISSION & CORE VALUES MISSION STATEMENT Meyer Group will create responsible, progressive design solutions through a process that surpasses our clients’ expectations on all levels VALUES RESPONSIVENESS to our clients and their needs, at all times. COLLABORATION working with our clients and community as a team to provide the highest quality work possible. HOUSING BROCHURE 3 SERVICES ARCHITECTURAL Any firm can design a building based on what it is supposed to be, and do. It takes insight and experience to understand the needs and visions that clients bring to their projects. At Meyer Group we listen first, and design second, to assure that we create value added solutions that represent the best possible incarnation of each client’s project. LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE We understand that site and building work hand-in-hand to foster a strong design relationship between interior and exterior. Our in-house landscape architecture department works directly with architectural and interior design departments throughout the design process to provide comprehensive, integrated solutions that blur design boundaries. We offer comprehensive solutions to support all of your site design and construction needs: from urban streetscapes to ecosystem restorations, planting to grading and drainage design. Each and every design is as important to us as it is to you, and tailored to capture each and every unique aspect of the site. We pride ourselves on an extremely high level of detail in creating your design in your vision while always respecting and revealing the natural process at work. GRAPHIC DESIGN Our graphic design services offer clients the freshest technological advantages available. From renderings to branding, we provide forward-thinking images and a message that embody the visions clients seek to realize in a project. OWNER’S REPRESENTATION Every project, whether large or small in scope, requires the talents of a team of competent individuals. With many disciplines of professionals involved in differing capacities, knowledgeable oversight is essential to a positive project outcome. Meyer Group offers experienced owner’s representation to assure that a client’s interests and their budgets remain a central concern throughout the life of a project. PROJECT MANAGEMENT Sound project management is all about communication, and it’s something that we pride ourselves on at Meyer Group. Internally, we function as a team, assuring an efficient and streamlined design and production process that keeps costs down and schedule adherence high. We treat each client as a member of our team, providing consistent updates, responsiveness, and feedback. HOUSING BROCHURE INTERIOR DESIGN Interior design is an integrative process that goes hand in hand with the architecture and site. In order to arrive at the most appropriate, creative and functional design, we allow the building’s architecture to inform each and every design decision, from the site through the shell and into the occupied interior environment. We shape the built environment for enjoyment, communication, function and pleasure. PLANNING We focus on master planning and land use. Effective consideration of the longterm life of a project is essential to its success. Master planning is a fitting aspect of our business, as we aim to create lasting, positive results-in the structures we design, the communities we help to grow and develop, and the relationships we nurture. 4 QUALITY ASSURANCE We foster an environment of openness and mutual understanding between client and firm which enables us to provide the best, most creative solutions to addressing each unique project challenge. Meyer Group focuses on being consistently prompt and responsive, and we involve our clients throughout the design and construction processes. With our exceptional pool of talent, Meyer Group boasts the ability to form a well rounded project team to provide support in all aspects of a project. We enjoy many long-term partnerships with clients as a result of our commitment to them and their dreams. Assuring that a project is executed on time, within budget, and as close to plan as possible is a critical focus and one that we address with the Meyer Group quality assurance/quality control plan. Effective design and construction documents are a particularly important element in the overall success of a project. For this reason, we involve many individuals in the preparation, coordination, and the review of the documents. These professionals often include a project manager, project architect, architectural designers, technicians and specification writers, and the structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering staff. Team members are continually coordinating with each other, comparing their work and checking for conflicts. The ultimate responsibility of final coordination and document checking rests with the project manager. The project manager’s performance is measured by the success of the project, the number of requests for information, and ultimately, the number and value of change orders. At Meyer Group we are proud to produce projects that feature complete sets of construction documents with minimal construction coordination issues “Meyer Group was founded on the principles of providing outstanding service, design, expertise, and responsiveness.” HOUSING BROCHURE 5 RESPECTING OUR CLIENTS. Energy efficiency, daylighting, use of recycled materials, use of rapidly renewable materials, and efficient space planning are just a few of the techniques utilized. Use of low VOC paints, adhesives and low off-gassing particle board products are part of our standard specifications. Our mainstream design process is a “Green” design process, allowing for our clients to pick and choose which Green strategies are to be utilized in their Interior Architecture/Interior Design. Green Design does not need to be more costly, but rather more “intelligent” design.
