A collection of over 55 highly individual hotels and resorts in the upscale and luxury segment

glamorous superstars through the ages or a hark back to the bygone glitz of Old-Hollywood,

The Story of Warwick International Hotels
Background and History
An emblematic establishment of the Big Apple since 1926, The Warwick Hotel New York was built
and made famous by William Randolph Hearst - an American businessman and media tycoon in
the early twentieth century - for the love of his life, the Hollywood actress Marion Davies. Since
then, the hotel continues to host famous celebrities and has
inevitably become a mythical icon in Manhattan, synonymous with
New York glamour and understated indulgence.
Inspired by the heritage of its first hotel, Warwick International
Hotels has developed a collection of luxury hotels and resorts
worldwide derived from the strong identity of the Warwick Hotel
New York. Each hotel is bound together by its individuality, each
with its own remarkable and unique story to tell.
Soon after opening its New York flagship in 1980, Warwick
International Hotels opened its Parisian counterpart in the same
year, the Warwick Champs-Elysées located just off arguably one of
the most famous avenues in the world. Other hotels soon followed:
in Europe, the Royal Windsor Hotel in Brussels overlooking The
Grand Place; the renowned Hotel Westminster on Rue de la Paix
in Paris - the former residence of the Duke of Westminster - between
Opera Garnier and Place Vendome and Warwick Geneva which boasts magnificent views of Mont
Blanc.
Across the Atlantic, during the same period, WIH also saw Warwick Seattle and Warwick Denver join
its Collection. Concurrently, resorts were being added to The Collection in the Pacific. The success
of its first resort, The Warwick Fiji Resort & Spa, encouraged the growth of additional resorts within
The Collection in the most exotic locations, against the backdrop of pristine beaches and dense
tropical vegetation.
Today, The Collection continues to grow around the world with new locations being added - in San
Francisco, Dallas, Lyon, Bali, as well as new markets such as Middle East and Africa.

Warwick International Hotels – Expansion
With more than 55 hotels in 30 countries* and around 9,000 rooms exclusively in the 4 and 5 star
segment, here are the key figures of the WIH Collection:
For over 30 years, the strategy deployed by Warwick International Hotels (WIH) is based on three
distinct but aligned models: owned-and-managed; affiliation agreements and management contracts.
This allows members with flexibility and a choice of varying aspects of expertise they can choose from.
After having successfully established a network of 19 fully owned-and-managed hotels - in Europe the
United States, Asia-Pacific – and effectively demonstrated our ability to adopt a tailor-made approach
to managing hotels, WIH created its affiliation model catered to independent hotels.
WIH saw a need for independent hotels to be represented by like-minded owners who share its desire
to preserve the uniqueness and charm of their hotels, whilst providing the international sales and
marketing platform, distribution network and worldwide access to corporate and leisure travellers
parallel to larger hotel companies. As WIH is also independently owned, we understand and cherish
the needs of our affiliate member hotels.
Today 28 hotels within The Collection are affiliates, including our latest additions – Mona Hotel,
Ankara, Turkey and Paseo del Arte in Madrid, Spain.
Our third model is that of management contracts. Since 2012, 8 management contracts in the Middle
East have been signed. In addition to our first one in Bali, the Warwick Ibah in Ubud, we have the
following:
Two in Jordan, Winter Valley Warwick Resort & Spa Dead Sea and the Warwick Il Palazzo Hotel &
Suites in Amman; three in Lebanon, Warwick Pangéa Beach Resort & Spa, Warwick Palm Beach
Hotel and Warwick Stone 55, all in Beirut; one in Dubai, the Warwick Hotel Dubai, one in Iraq, the
Babylon Warwick Hotel in Baghdad and one in Qatar, the Warwick Doha Hotel.
Additionally, WIH has announced the purchase of the Paradise Island Harbour Resort in Nassau, The
Bahamas. Major renovations are underway : the reopening is planned for this summer.
Last year, WIH acquired the Warwick Allerton Hotel Chicago, truly a sister hotel to the Warwick
New-York Hotel, the Warwick Melrose Hotel Dallas and The Warwick San Francisco, all historic
landmarks.
Last but not least, WIH recently increases its portfolio by 1250 rooms in a 1-take-2 deal with
1 new destination, Cuba. Two new resorts, Warwick Cayo Santa Maria and Naviti Varadero
Resort are now part of the Collection.
