Our Summer Intensive faculty, led by Academy Director Timothy Lynch, draws from the Academy’s remarkable
roster of permanent instructors, as well as guest artists. Professionals from Pacific Northwest Ballet, the Bolshoi
Ballet, New York City Ballet, National Ballet of Canada, English National Ballet, BalletMet and The Ohio State
University will work with Summer Intensive students throughout the program. This summer’s special guest faculty
includes: Edwaard Liang, Artistic Director, BalletMet; Hisham Omardien, Ballet Master, BalletMet; Susan
Dromisky, Ballet Mistress, BalletMet; Nilas Martins, former Principal Dancer with New York City Ballet; Patricia
Barker, former Principal Dancer with Pacific Northwest Ballet and Artistic Director of Grand Rapids Ballet; and
Emily Gotschall and David Ward, BalletMet Stars.

For advanced students, ages 12 and older
This 5-week intensive is designed for advanced students demonstrating a high
level of proficiency who are poised to enter a professional career in dance.
Participants study and train with BalletMet’s artistic staff and Academy faculty
and are offered challenging classes in technique and repertoire. The intensive
culminates with a performance in BalletMet’s 225-seat Performance Space.
