A highlight of the year for Lisa and me is the
PAUSE Ministers Retreat. Why? Because it
gives us the opportunity to interact with you
in our role as district pastors and a chance to
share our desire to see real and lasting relationships and friendships develop within our
ministry family.
Monday, October 13
For this to happen it’s necessary for us to
laugh together, cry together, serve together
and worship together. Such togetherness can
only happen as we intentionally connect
with one another. We believe PAUSE should
facilitate that process and every part of the
retreat is designed with this in mind.
Tuesday, October 14
Once again we will have special breakout
sessions, as well as a time for us to connect
spiritually in the presence of the Lord. Our
special guests, Phil and Renee Schneider, are
going to be great blessings to us all. You will
love these friends as they speak into our
lives.

Guest Speakers
We are very excited to welcome this year’s
retreat speakers, Phil and Renee Schneider.
After serving as Presbyter and Executive
Presbyter, Phil was elected to serve as
Superintendent of the Illinois District
Council in 2012, a network of 875 ministers
and nearly 300 churches. While serving as
pastor of Cornerstone Assembly in
Bethalto, Illinois—a tenure he held for 22
years, the church developed a multi-site
presence, helping to develop church
campuses across the metro east area of
St. Louis and one in the city of St. Louis, at
Shrewsbury. He has served the Illinois
District since 1980, working in churches in
East Peoria, Litchfield, and Bethalto, as well
as 30 years of Illinois youth camps. He is
past president and a current member of the
St. Louis Metro Harvest Evangelism
Committee.
Phil and Renee have five adult children and
three grandchildren.
